"I'll activate the magic card Nightmare's Steelcage! For two turns, all monsters can't attack! Then I'll place a card face down to end my turn." A holographic steel cage traps you and your side of the field while a face down card appears on Momoshiro's side.
Stalling for time. Can't blame him. What do I get for my Draw?
You get Dark Hole (Normal Magic).
Crud. Set Mirror Force and end turn.
Momoshiro draws a card and sets a monster before ending his turn. For your draw, you get The Unhappy Maiden (1/0/100).
Mega crud. Set The Unhappy Maiden and then end turn.
As you finish your turn, the effect of Nightmare's Steelcage ends and now all monsters can battle once again. Momoshiro draws a new card. "First, I'll activate my face down card! Just Desserts!!"
Shit!!
"This trap card deals 500 points of damage to your life points for each monster you have on the field. Since you have three monsters, you take 1500 points of damage!" Your life points go down to 1000. "And now that we both have 1000 life points, I can activate this! The permanent magic card... Deuce!!" A huge score board rose with each side having the number forty written on it.
Another tennis card?!? Good lord...
Momoshiro proceeds to explain. "Deuce can only be activated when both players have 1000 life points. During each Battle Phase, we can only send in one monster to do battle. The first player to successfully deal damage twice in a row to the other player's lifepoints wins the duel. Even if your life points are down to zero, you are still in the duel as long as Deuce is in play. Do you understand?"
Say: "I get the idea."
"Then I'll place a card face down and end my turn." You draw a new card and you get Axe of Despair (Equip Magic). After you draw, Momoshiro activates his face down card which is Threatening Roar. This trap card forces you to skip attacking for the turn.
Fuck. End turn.
Momoshiro draws and activates Pot of Greed to draw two more cards. "I'll use the magic card Service Ace! Basically, I choose one card in my hand and you have to guess whether it's a magic, monster or trap card. If you guess wrong, you take 1500 points of damage. If you guess right, you dodge a bullet!" Momoshiro holds up the two cards in his hand and holds out the card that you have to guess.
A guessing game?!? Argh! Monster... magic... trap... monster... magic... trap... I can't choose!!
You have to make up your mind sometime.
Say: "I guess monster!"
"Wrong! It's a magic card!" He shows you Monster Reincarnation in his hand before his Service Ace magic card brings your life points down to zero. However you are still in the duel. The current advantage belongs to Momoshiro. "Next, I'll flip summon my monster! Legendary Big Server (3/300/400)!" A monster wearing a yellow tennis shirt, shorts, a white bandanna with sneaker and a black tennis racquet appeared on the field.
Stats?
Earth, Warrior monster. No effect when flip summoned. The monster's ability comes when it attacks. It can bypass your monsters and attack you directly. If it damages you, Momoshiro can place a 'Service Ace' magic card from his deck and add it to his hand. If he does that, you can draw a card. By the way, he ordered his monster to charge in for the win.
Fuck that! Activate Mirror Force!
His monster goes boom. Momoshiro is undaunted and summons Mega Thunderball (2/750/600) in defense mode before ending his turn. For your draw, you get Exiled Force (4/1000/1000).
Game! Summon Exiled Force and sacrifice it to blow up Mega Thunderball.
Now Momoshiro is wide open for an attack.
Equip Axe to Maha for the hell of it and then bitch slap Momo with my beefed up spellcaster.
Momoshiro gets pounded for 4050 points of damage. His life points are down to zero and the advantage of Deuce shifts to you.
Activate Dark Hole to go for the victory.
You blow up all your own monsters but the effect of Black Pendant kicks in to damage Momoshiro again. The effect of Deuce kicks in and you are declared the victor of the duel.
