First things first. Let me get on my Dueling Glasses and then save game.
Saving game... done.
Do I go first or second?
Momoshiro has taken a coin out. "Heads, I go first. Tails, you go first!" He flips the coin and caught it. "It's tails! Your move, buddy!"
Alrighty then. Activate Duel Disk, draw opening hand and draw for Draw Phase. What do I have to work with?
You have Monster Reborn (Normal Magic), Autonomous Action Unit (Equip Magic), Judgement of Vohdan (Trap), Black Pendant (Equip Magic), Old Vindictive Magician (2/450/600) and Maha Vailo (4/1550/1400).
I seriously should get rid of Autonomous Action Unit. Doesn't come in handy often enough. Set Judgement of Vohdan and Old Vindictive Magician. End turn.
Momoshiro drew his card and proceeded to do the same as you did by setting a card face down in his magic/trap zone and a face down defense monster. For your Draw Phase, you get Life-Shortening Treasure (Normal Magic).
I'll save that for when I run out of cards. In the meantime, I have to go on the offensive. Flip Old Vindictive Magician to destroy his monster.
Boom. There goes his Mystical Shine Ball (2/500/500). Now Momo's wide open for a direct attack.
Summon Maha Vailo and equip Black Pendant to it.
Your spellcaster comes into play and the equip card boosts the attack power by 500 points. Then your monster's special ability kicks in to give a further boost so now your monster's attack power is at 2550.
Enter Battle Phase! Smack Momo with both monsters!
"I won't make this too easy for you! Activate trap card... Receive Ace!!" His face down card is reversed and you see the card picture being a golden tennis racket in a court or something.
The hell?!?
Momoshiro proceeds to explain. "Whenever you attack me directly, I can activate this card. The trap negates the attack and deals 1500 points of damage to your life points. Then I have to discard the top three cards from my deck to my graveyard." He gets rid of three cards while your life points go down to 2500.
Bastard!! End turn.
The tennis player draws a new card. "I'll first use this magic card called Silent Dead! It allows me to Special Summon a normal monster from my graveyard to the field in defense mode and as long as it remains face up on the field, it can't attack." Mystical Shine Ball comes back to life. "Next, I'll set a card face down and then activate the magic card, Smash Ace!"
Seriously, what is with all these tennis cards?
"Smash Ace allows me to reveal the top card of my deck and if it's a monster card, you take 1000 points of damage! Then I have to send the card to my graveyard." He reveals the top card of his deck... and you dodge a bullet since he loses Graceful Charity.
Ha! Sucks to be him!
Undaunted, he sets another card face down before ending his turn. You draw your next card which is Pot of Greed (Normal Magic).
Play it.
You draw Smashing Ground (Normal Magic) and Mirror Force (Trap).
Use Smashing Ground on his monster and smack him with both of my monsters. I hope that face down card of his isn't another Receive Ace!
Nope. Your spell works to clear the path and you bring his life points down to 1000.
Damn! If only I had drawn another monster card to finish him off! And there's no point in reviving the monster I just destroyed since it's so weak. End turn.
Momoshiro activates his face down card at the end of your turn which is a Jar of Greed. He draws his card and his usual draw for his Draw Phase before...
