"That's twice now that the Orb Union has been attacked by the unknown faction and you still insist that I don't send down the Izumo and the Astrays with it to lend additional strength to the nation?!?" screeched a pissed off Rondo Mina Sahaku. The image of Representative Seiran recoiled on the screen as he could see her red eyes reflecting her anger.
"How were we to honestly expect that we would have to fend off this new force when we were in the middle of rebuilding? The war is over! Frankly, these attacks started happening as soon as the Kusanagi landed on our soil so it's safe to assume that this is their fault!" blurted the elder man.
The female Coordinator snorted. "Don't shift the blame! You said and I quote 'With Orb having protection under the Atlantic Federation, nothing will happen'! I still don't understand how you can still be a pro-Earth Alliance after their invasion a few months ago. I'll send down a hundred Astray units and you should receive them by late this evening at the latest."
This caused the other man to gawk in surprise. "A hundred?!?"
"You seem to forget that ever since we finalized the Astray Mass Production design, the Ame-no-Mihashira has been producing units frequently. Anyways, I want you to spread the word to every citizen in Orb that sanctuary is available on my space station. Understand?"
"Y-yes, Lady Sahaku." The transmission ended before Mina let out a slow exhale. The only positive things that she had heard from his transmission were that the heir of the Athha family and members of the Junk Guild had fought alongside the leftover Orb military to protect the Orb Union and that her late brother's mobile suit was being put to good use. A small feeling of pride welled up in her chest when she heard how even on the brink of defeat, the Gold Frame had been able to drive the enemy back.
'On to other matters.' Rondo Mina shut down her console in her office before heading out the door to the corridors of the station. It was time to check up on the refugees currently under her protection. On the way, she bumped into a young man with white hair and pale skin dressed in a pilot suit. "Oh! You startled me, Four!"
"My apologies, Lady Sahaku," replied Four Socius, the pilot of the Sword Calamity stationed with the Sahaku family.
"Are you going somewhere?" asked the Coordinator.
"I have something that I have to take care of in my Sword Calamity suit so I need permission to launch. I can't say more than that. I'm sorry." The young man bowed.
Rondo Mina decided not to pressure him further. "I'll let the hangar crew know. By the way, I was wondering if you would like to join me later in the afternoon for some tea? After you get back of course."
The young man's red eyes widened. "R-really?"
"Yes. You are an important part of the crew so I would like to properly get to know you better." Mina gave a gentle smile, something that she never would have done had her brother still been around.
"I... would be honoured." Mina nodded before floating away to check on the refugees. Four simply glanced back. 'I am uncertain what has changed Lady Sahaku's personality but it is... a refreshing change.' He continued to move through the corridors before he found himself standing in front of his blue coloured Sword Calamity unit. He climbed in the cockpit and fastened on his helmet.
"We have received authorization from Lady Sahaku to let you launch, Pilot Socius. Please stand by." Four activated the unit and waited for the launch doors of the space station to open up. "You are clear to go."
"Four Socius, Sword Calamity... taking off!" The unit blasted off into space and set a course for Atlantic Federation territory. With Trans-Phase armour, atmospheric re-entry wasn't too much of a problem. He directed the suit to land near the Lodonia facility and then as soon as he landed, he shut down the machine and used the cable to lower himself to the ground.
The conditioned Coordinator recalled the orders sent to him from the Earth Alliance to head directly to Meeting Room A in the facility. So he quickly made his way through the entrance and to the meeting place. Inside the dimly lit room was a man with brown hair in an Alliance uniform and hat sitting in one of the black chairs. "Status report, Four Socius?"
Four Socius removed his helmet and stood at attention. "The unit has been brought to the facility as ordered. Lady Sahaku has not been informed about my destination as ordered." The Alliance officer gave a sigh.
"Good work. Please wait here until our other visitor arrives."
"Visitor, sir?" Just as he finished the last sentence, he felt a sharp pain explode in his chest. He glanced down to see blood soaking his pilot uniform. 'I see... my apologies, Lady Sahaku. It seems I cannot make it for tea after all...' That was his last thought before another bullet entered his head.
As soon as the Coordinator's body hit the ground, Djibril lowered his USP pistol equipped with the silencer and smiled at the officer. "Well done, Commander Ian Lee. I'll put a commendation in your record for this."
"T-thank you, sir."
Djibril put away the weapon. "Call maintenance to have them clean out the blood in the carpet and properly dispose of the body. And have engineering crews refit the Sword Calamity unit for Pilot Rena Imelia's use."
