Kumori Mizuno felt at her hand where her son had just nipped her and broken the skin. She quickly rummaged through her supplies to get antiseptic and cleaned the wound though it was barely a scratch. Whatever poison Ranma had encountered was causing limbs and muscle groups to twitch. This could be...

Swaying momentarily, the physician got control of herself but moved a chair closer so that she could sit and monitor his progress. Whatever poison was involved it was pretty virulent to saturate Ranma's system to the point where a secondary reaction like that could come from such a small wound. Ranma seemed to be fighting it off though.

Carefully, the doctor gathered some saliva and added it to the collection of samples she was collecting.


Inside Ranma the battle ran its course.

Just as Ranma Mizuno had been stronger and faster than Peter Parker, so would the resulting Spider-Man be stronger and faster than his New York counterpart. No webshooters or extensive scientific background. No photography skills. Juuban ward was also not New York City though it had its share of tall buildings.

Ranma settled into a deep slumber, his body exhausting itself as the changes completed.


Ami pondered the references that had been flagged and put them together in logical fashion.

Changelings, the Child Who Wasn't, the ghosts of the unborn, and more - there was even a book which picked apart the legends of peach-children and Keitaro and similar heroes.

Just the fact that her otherwise professional and logical mother would have this interest in the supernatural led Ami to what she felt was the obvious conclusion. Her brother was, in fact, such a child.

Which also explained why his focus in physical skills and martial arts had been indulged to the extent that it had been. There was a pattern involved, as the various heroic versions were either skilled warriors or exceptional hunters in the majority of these texts.

Pondering this, Ami felt as if she had seen a number of threads clicking into place in her life - revealing that they came together in a pattern now. As a defender of Tokyo and the world, a soldier of love and justice, her own part in this matter was clear:
