The fact that she had stopped trying to get dressed sort of brought up some of the differences between what Ranma thought of as a "real girl" and what Ash thought of as a "pokegirl" and therefore the differences between the first Akane and this one. She had seams and her flesh-colored skin had a sheen to it as if she were wearing suntan oil. Her ears were something that might look more normal on an airplane though, jutting off at angles through her hair (which also had an unusual shine and was more bluish with black highlights than the other way around). Still, it looked more like Akane in costume to him than not.
She did, eventually, figure out the clothes. Nothing special, just a uniform that consisted of shorts and a t-shirt, boots, bracers, and a collar.
Ash knew that sometime down the road he'd furnish better clothing for his pokegirls. Some guys would give a sort of uniform to each of their pokegirls - the prevailing wisdom being that the uniform helped provide a "team identity" to the girls.
That was in the future though. Right now he was just starting out and had gotten his first pokegirl.
Hmmm. Time to check his pokedex.

"So, Akane, what do you want to do first?" asked Ash.
Akane pointed at herself. "Gyn?"
"Yes, you, you're going to be my..." Ranma had to search his Ash memories for the right term. "...Alpha. I hope we're going to be good friends."
"Gyn," said Akane, looking skeptical.
"No, really," insisted Ash.
"Gyn," said Akane, apparently adopting a wait-and-see attitude.
"Anyway, we've got a little time while the Professor helps everyone else out. What would you like to do?" asked Ash, holding out a hand for his pokegirl.
Ash could almost hear the gears turning in the pokegirl's head as she studied the hand before taking it.
"Gyn gynoid a-ka-ne," said Akane, forcing her way through her name. After some consideration she had an idea (an actual metal chime sounding when this occurred) and tried to convey this to her trainer.
