What I just did... it seemed like I was forcing Sho to join the Kendo Club to boost his confidence. I would rather just try to encourage him to get involved in something outside of class to boost his confidence.
Wow. When did you become Mr. Nice Guy?
In games like these, nice guys DON'T finish last.
Figures. Very well... opening last save...
Sho is really down in the dumps and is berating himself. "How could I have forgotten about that face down card?!? I'm such an idiot!!"
Approach Sho and say: "That was a good scare you gave me by bringing me down to 300 Life Points. A 4400 Attack Point beatstick is no laughing matter."
Sho appears to completely ignore you and continues to berate himself. "I'll never use Power Bond ever again!!"
Lift Sho up and then say: "Just because you lost a duel doesn't mean it's the bloody end of the world!! What matters is what you learn from the duel to improve yourself!!"
He starts to stammer out a response. "B-but..."
Say: "But nothing! You made the best possible move to end the duel with the limited resources you had and the amount of field control I had. If you did nothing, you were screwed. At least you took a risk to go for the win and taking risks requires a good deal of courage. You were courageous enough to fight for you and for Asuka." Put him down after my rant.
"So... I guess you're gonna report me to the Headmaster. I better get back to my dorm and start packing."
Say: "If I recall, if you lost the duel, I get to decide what to do with you. To be honest, after seeing your lack of self-confidence by how you seriously berated yourself, I just want to help you out."
"How are you going to help me?" asked Sho in a skeptic tone.
Say: "Well, from what I can tell, you just need more confidence. You should consider signing up for a club outside of class where you can meet lots of new people who share a common interest. But if you're not much of a club person, then I'll just have to fix up a little program for you so that you can feel better about yourself."
"Why are you going through all this trouble for me? I mean... you probably have better things to do with your time than hang around with an Osiris Red student."
Say: "I just like to help people whenever I can. Anyways, where do you want to go from here? Going to try out a club or do you want my help? If you can't answer now, that's okay but I would appreciate an answer within the next two days. Once you made up your mind, just give me a call." Swap contact info through our PDAs.
The transfer is done in a few seconds. "That's really generous of you. I never did get your name though..."
Say: "My name is Negi Springfield. And you are?"
"Just plain old Sho."
Say: "Well, I hope to hear from you soon!"
Before you can go, Sho speaks to you. "But what about me and Asuka?"
Say: "Let me be honest. Realistically... can a person fall in absolute love with another by looking at someone once? Love takes time to develop. I'm willing to bet that this letter is fake and sent by a prankster or something."
"I see..." By the look on his face, it would take some time for him to digest things. He slowly turned around to walk back to his dorm, lost in his own thoughts.
Good to see that settled. Now we're going hunting! I mean it this time!
So where to, Mr. Nice Guy?
