That reminds me. What are the card shop's operating hours? Maybe I can snag a few booster packs to upgrade my deck.
According to the information on your PDA, the shop will be opening in a few days since the owner will need some time to return from summer vacation.
Shouldn't the owner be here at the start of the school term? Geez...
So unfortunately, the card shop's not an option for now. Anywhere else in mind?
Well... perhaps I should go check how things are going at the Obelisk Blue Female Dorm. Sho had wanted to go there because of that 'letter'. I think I should get to the bottom of this.
And attempt to spy on the girls as they bathe? This ought to be entertaining.
That's simply a bonus. Now let's get into the boat!
As you prepare to climb into the boat, you hear a terrified scream pierce the air. It seems to be coming from the direction that Sho had left for earlier.
I'll have to wait on checking out the dorm. Head over to where the scream came from.
You run in the direction where you think you heard the scream and eventually you see a strange dark mist slowly approaching Sho who was frantically trying to crawl away (and failing miserably due to his fear).
Run over to Sho and help him get back on his feet. Say: "Stay calm. It's just a little strange weather."
"In the middle of a crisp and clear evening?!?" asked Sho in a frantic tone.
Then the strangest thing happens as the fog begins to speak. "YOU!!! The boy in the blue garment!!"
Ok... this is probably a prank. Say: "Okay... you've had your fun picking on the Osiris Red student. Now how about cutting this out?"
The fog begins to solidify into a figure with golden armour and blue skin. The figure appears to be in a state of flux and instead of a solid imposing figure, it looks like a bad hologram.
Say: "Relax, Sho. It's just a fuzzy hologram to scare you to bits."
"I am no hologram!! I am Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World!!!"
Interesting. Reply: "And I'm Negi Springfield, one of many prodigies at Duel Academy. I would say it's nice to meet you but I'm a lousy liar."
You could see Goldd snarl at your callous introduction. "Springfield? Heh... with the resemblance between you and him, I shouldn't be surprised that you two are related."
What?!?
"The one called Nagi Springfield... it's his fault that things are the way they are now! His meddling changed our way of life and my clan had to flee from the rampage of the Infernal Beasts!"
Looks like there's a lot more to my character's old man. Say: "What type of story is this?!?"
Goldd grinned savagely. "A story with a promising ending... at least for my clan. I had been fortunate to have been provided a way to this realm by a trio of foolish humans... the Takadera Occult Brothers or some nonsense like that. I have already absorbed their lives by crushing them in a Shadow Game however I still require several more for myself and my clan. Then we will take this world!"
Sometimes, being the Duelist of Righteousness is a pain but I have to stop this freak. Say: "That's not going to happen! I challenge you to a Shadow Duel! If I win, you have to release the lives that you have absorbed and leave this realm! If you win, you can take my life."
Sho started to panic. "What are you doing?! We should get out of here!!"
The Wu-Lord from Dark World nodded. "Very well. Prepare to experience the power of my clan!!" A black fog starts to surround the area that you, Sho and Goldd are occupying.
Shit! He's still here?!? Say: "Let the other one go free."
"I don't think so. You're asking me to give up a lot if you win so it's only fair that I get to gain plenty if I win. Now let's get this game started!" A deck of Duel Monster cards materialized to the side of Goldd and the top five cards flew up to hover in front of the monster's face.
I gotta give this program credit for really getting you into the main plot with something like this. Put on dueling glasses and activate the Duel Disk. Then save the game before drawing opening hand.
Saving game... done.
