Coupled Union - Yamato Nadeshiko: Paternal Patience [Episode 152848]

Akane held up a limp hand to point at the pigtailed girl. "You were a guy, and now...."

"Are those...." Nabiki began, staring at the very obvious roundness that was now pushing up the redhead's shirt.

"Yeah, they're real," Ranma sighed. "Ya see, it's all 'cause of a curse."

"A 'curse'?"

"It's what I was told. And it's all my old man's fault."

"How can you say something like that?!" Genma snapped.

"I can 'cause it's true! First off, it was your big idea ta go there!"

"How could I know that it would be so dangerous?!"

"Ya coulda waited like I wanted!"

"If you hadn't dragged your feet, then it wouldn't have happened!"

"It happened only 'cause ya made it!" Ranma snarled, and punted her father out to land in the koi pond, leading to certain... 'results'.

Nabiki stared dully at the sight. "There is a panda laying in our pond...."

"Someone mind explaining how this happened?" her younger sister asked.

The pigtailed girl nodded. "I'll tell ya, since ya deserve ta know. It all started at a place called Jusenkyo...."

Ranma looked toward the guide, and tried to hear what the man was saying, but found that the grumbling that his old man was doing sort of covered up the words. It would at least be good to be able to have the manners to listen to the man, and the history of the place might have been interesting. Plus, if he were able to glean some sort of information off of the story, then they could find a new way to train.

But it seemed that his father only cared about one thing. "Stupid boy! What's taking you so long?!"

"I'm listenin' ta what he has ta say!" Ranma growled back.

"Why? It's a training ground. There is only one way to use it!"

"No, shouldn't use!" the Guide protested. "Is not a safe place!"

"For regular fighters, perhaps, but we're good enough to not to have to worry."

"Maybe we should at least find out what he means?" his son suggested with a glare.

"It's just a series of springs with poles sticking out of them. What could be so troublesome?"

"He'd know."

"'Know' what? It's probably just local superstition...."

"Then you go train," the pigtailed boy replied, "and I'll stay here and find out what he knows."

"But this is your training, boy! You have to do it!"

"It ain't like ya can just push it.... HEY!"

Genma hefted his son by the front of his shirt, and threw the boy as hard as he could. "No more procrastinating! You train now!"

"AHHHH!" Ranma yelped as he found himself hurtling right at a spring, but before he could do anything, he was splashing into the water. His momentum carried him deep into the water, but instinct made turning around and swimming back up quite easy. However, as he broke the surface, and felt something shifting where it shouldn't be, he reached down and opened his gi top to see what had happened.

And at that moment, Ranma realized that he had been turned into a 'she'.

"You fall in cursed spring. Now, you turn into this form when hit by cold water, and turn back with hot," the Guide told him.

"Pop...." the neo-girl growled under her breath.

The Saotome patriarch was so shocked by his son's transformation, and seeing his boy bounce out of the water, and towards him, in more ways than one, that he couldn't react quickly enough when he was taken and tossed to one of the pools. He flapped his arms, looking like he was in some demented attempt to fly, but it really was just a reflex. Hitting the water was simple enough, but when he came up, it was clear that he was no longer human.

"Your father tossed you in?" Akane asked.

"I don't think that he meant ta," Ranma replied. "But he never was the most patient guy around. I wanted ta at least get a feel for the place. The way that I figure it, bein' nice 'bout things would be helpful."

Both younger sisters looked over to their eldest sibling, and knew who Ranma had gotten the idea from.

"My guess was that he wanted ta make me focus on the trainin' and didn't even think 'bout what he was doin'. And now, I had ta come here when I still had this stupid curse...."

"Which hot water helps with," Nabiki commented.

"'Xactly."

Soun sighed, and wondered on how this could affect his eldest daughter, while:
