Setsuna's Fault: System Error [Episode 152873]

by Kestral

After watching further and further scenes getting further and further away from her pristine timeline, Sailor Pluto came to a conclusion. Ranma was involved. Remove Ranma and everything else was subject to change.

Controlling the situation, bringing it back to a future with the Sailor Senshi, was her only course. The only factors she had to consider were the increasing instability in the timestream, damage control on how bad it turned out - and even that was trying to have everyone end up alive and relatively unchanged.

Sailor Moon screamed in horror at the results. Yes, she'd used the ginzuishou to try and bring her friends back to life. Yes, they were moving again. The problem was that they weren't quite alive.

"We're dead," said Rei, looking down at the wounds that weren't bleeding.

"I think the proper term is undead," said Ami.

"Fine, I'm going to go lay in the sacred fire," said Rei. "If that doesn't finish me off, at least I won't be stinking up the place when the flesh starts rotting."

"I can try again," said Usagi weakly.

"What if it gets worse?" asked Makoto, taking it worst out of all of those returned to a semblence of life.

"Yeah, at least we're just zombies and not vampires or something," said Minako. "That'd really suck."

"There was some kind of interference, a power drain on the ginzuishou," said Ami. "That might have been a factor."

"In brightest day, in darkest night,
No Evil Shall Escape My Sight,
Let Those Who Worship Evil's Might,
Beware My Power - Green Lantern's Light."

"So you're good for the next day now?" asked Ami.

Makoto Scott nodded, her green ring flaring on her finger. "Unless the opponent's made of wood of course."

"I'll just change," said Ami. Zip! "Done."

"Good," agreed Green Lantern. "Red Arrow will meet us at the Tokyo Tower."

One final effort, requiring her to use her full knowledge of the Time Gates and the power of the storm itself in an effort to hit Undo before things went -

SNAP CRACK POP WHIRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Sailor Pluto saw CRACKS appear not only in the Gates but in nearby reality.

She realized that she was running around in circles with her arms stretched out, as if she were a Ranma character. She regained control enough to start ACTING instead of REACTING, what she needed was to seal off those cracks.

WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM

Taking a board and a hammer and nails, she quickly began boarding over the nearest crack in reality. Another board, more nails, another board, more nails, another... who was handing her the boards and the nails anyway?

Slowly she stopped, slowly her head swiveled around. A long eared furry creature that she immediately recognized was standing there, helpfully holding out another board.

"I... know you." Sailor Pluto immediately knew who this was.

Wile E Coyote smiled at her and flipped up one of his signs. [I have something for you.]

Sailor Pluto straightened up, closing her eyes. She was having a nervous breakdown. Too much work. No vacations. No days off. No probation. She chewed her lower lip briefly, then opened her eyes. "Okay, let me have it." She was expecting a mallet or something along those lines.

The Coyote rooted around in a pocket and pulled out a large golden trophy (looking suspiciously like a certain rabbit) and handed it to her.

Sailor Pluto glanced at the base. [Best Coyote Imitation In A Running Storyline]

clap-clap-clap-clap-clap-clap YAHOO!

Looking around (and wondering how she'd missed them before) was a menagerie applauding her. There was Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, even Droopy had a little flag in between two fingers cheering for her in his own very understated way...

"Ah heh heh," said Sailor Pluto, twitching.
