Dragon Avatar - Metallic Pink Avatar Ver 2.0: ...Like two ships passing in the night. [Episode 152924]

by SoftRogue

“All right you two, back to your corners,” Makoto said, as she had to literally pull apart a bickering Rei and Minako.

“See! See! I told you that it was Rei!” the blonde girl exclaimed, “After all, you know the saying; ‘Who ever smelt it, dealt it!’”

Everyone paused with a confused before glancing at Ami.

Ahem” she coughed embarrassingly, “That is the correct wording, but I’m not sure what Mina-chan means by it.”

“Well if you didn’t do it, Mrs. Hino, who did it? Who took Usagi-chan? Huh? Huh? Can’t answer, can you… because you did it!”

Trying to get the conversation back on track, Luna smoothly interjected. “Have you tried consulting the Sacred Fire yet Rei?”

“Yea, I did,” the shrine priestess mumbled as her previous anger drained out of her.

“Well, what did it say?” Makoto asked, eager to find any answer to their princess’s disappearance.

"thsrdfrlgedatme…"

“What was that?” Luna asked as everyone moved in closer.

“I said thsrdfrlgedatme…"

“What?”

”THE SACRED FIRE LAUGHED AT ME! THERE! YOU HAPPY NOW!!! IT LAUGHED AT ME LIKE I WAS THE BUTT OF SOME GREAT COSMIC JOKE!!”

Only Rei’s heavy breathing could be heard after her outburst...

...until a persistent beeping sounded.

As Ami opened the Mercury Computer, Artemis voiced what everyone was thinking.

“Oh, great. Could things get any worse....”

As the Senshi quickly left the Hikawa Shrine, they had no idea that the white Mau’s words would come to haunt them. For a mere three minutes later, a figure was seen approaching the Shrine. The girl (for it was obvious to anyone could see that it was a female) was skipping merrily along the sidewalk with a cheerful smile on her face; but, there was something... off about her.

Perhaps it was the fact she was, well, small. Not short, mind you, but as if she was somehow built on a much smaller scale. Or perhaps it had something to do with the oddly shaped ears... after all it wasn’t everyday you saw someone with long, pointed ears.

Or maybe it had something to do with the song she was singing at the top of her lungs.

”Oooooooohuuu yehaaaaaa...sea...sou...jhonn
macarron...yeah macarron nooon.

Chacarron, Chacarron, Chacarron, Chacarron,
ualuealuealeuale ualuelaelaellalea,
alsualsualualauusualulus, alsualsualualauusualulus…

Chacarron, Chacarron, aliluliron, Chacarron,
Chacarron, aliluliron, Chacarron, n’, Chacarron,
aliluliron, Chacarron, Chacarron, aliluliron,

ualuealuealeuale ualuelaelaellalea,
alsualsualualauusualulus, alsualsualualauusualulus…
ualuealuealeuale ualuelaelaellalea,
alsualsualualauusualulus, alsualsualualauusualulus… “

Ok… maybe it was the song.

Skidding to a stop at the steps leading up to the shrine, the girl looked up at the Torii and her smile seemed to grow even bigger.

“Finally!” Jubilee Moonsailor said in exasperation. “I thought I’d never find this place. Sheesh! You’d think that everyone would know where this shrine is, but nooooo!”

Quickly bouncing up the steeps, the young Kender looked around the grounds with exited eyes. This was it…this was the place where it all happens. Usagi-sempai had told her many times about the great things her fellow Senshi had done and how this shrine was where everything came together. The Batman might have his cave; the Fantastic 4 might have their tower; but nobody had anything that came as close to the Senshi and their shrine.

At least, that’s what Usagi-sempai had said; and she had never steered her young protégé wrong.

Seeing no one around, Jubilee did the first thing that came to her… namely bellowing at the top of her lungs until she found someone.

“HELLO? IS ANYONE HERE???? YOOHOO! HEEEEELLLLLOOOOO???”

Finally, her calling had its desired effect as an elderly gentleman appeared in the courtyard. “Can I help you?” he asked rather testily before he blinked twice and looked at her oddly.

Quite used to people looking at her oddly, Jubilee beamed happily. “I’m looking for Rei-san. Or maybe Ami-san or Minako-san or Makoto-san. Have you seen them?”

“You just missed them,” Grandpa Hino said slowly as he studied the girl in front of him. “Are you a… friend of theirs?”

Grinning cheerfully, Jubilee replied. “Not yet! Usagi-sempai told me all about them, though. I can’t wait to meet them. Well, see ya!”

“Wait!” Grandpa Hino called out. “Have you seen Usagi lately?”

“Yeppers! She should be here shortly.”

“That’s good to hear,” he said with a relieved sigh. “If you don’t mind me asking, though… are you a nature spirit of some sort?”

“Nope! I’m a Kender, of course. Oh, where are my manners.” Moving up to Grandpa Hino, she quickly took his hand and began shaking it repeatedly. “I’m Jubilee. Jubilee Moonsailor. But you can call me Jubilee. Unless I’m in uniform, then you can’t. But I can’t tell you what to call me then because I’m suppose to have a secret identity. Unless we meet then. So if I told you now what to call me then, then you’d know who I am when I’m in my civilian guise. At least that’s what Logan told me, but I think that it doesn’t make any sense. But who am I to argue.”

“I… see,” Grandpa Hino said, trying to follow the apparent logic in Jubilee’s words. “Tell me,” he asked, changing the subject before he developed a headache, “have you ever considered becoming a shrine maiden?”

Her demeanor suddenly becoming serious, Jubilee looked at the elderly priest and asked carefully, “Who do you worship here?”

“Why Amaterasu Omikami, of course.”

“Nah… I hear that she’s a real stick in the mud. Now if you’re looking for a deity that’s really fun, you should try praying to Toltiir. Well, see ya!”

With that, Jubilee bounced off in search of her fellow Senshi leaving behind an extremely confused priest behind…

…which is pretty much par for course for people meeting Jubilee Moonsailor.

On the edge of the Solar System is Pluto, the coldest and most distant of the planets circling the sun. Orbiting the small planet is the ancient structure known as Charon Castle; the sometimes home of the Senshi of Time, Sailor Pluto.

In the Master Bedroom, Sailor Pluto; sometimes known as Setsuna Meioh, collapsed on her bed, exhausted from her search of the time-stream in an effort to locate her missing princess. Everything she had tried to find Usagi had failed spectacularly. Nearly at the end of her rope, she had no idea what to do, especially if she was to ensure the birth of Crystal Tokyo.

Perhaps it was best for her sanity that she didn’t take the time to look out her bedroom window.
