When the dojo finally did come into sight, he almost groaned in relief.
"Here we are, boy! Tendo's dojo!" Genma declared as they stood outside the gate of the training hall.
"Finally," the pigtailed boy muttered. 'If he hadn't been leadin', we'd have been here half 'n hour ago.'
"What was that?"
"Ya heard me. We were walkin' for a long time, ya know."
His father gave a reluctant nod. "True enough. But now we're at my old friend's place, and our trip is over."
"I already knew that."
"How? I.... Oh, yes. I did say that before, didn't I?"
"Nah. I can read," the younger Saotome replied as he pointed at the sign next to the gate.
"Well... that doesn't matter. Being here is the important thing."
"If ya say so."
"I do. And since we can't simply stand out here all day," Genma told his son, and walked over to knock on the door. "Tendo! I've arrived!"

"Dad?" Akane sighed. "I think that's enough."
"Oh? Hmmm...." their father responded, as he let the boy go. "I think that you're right. Sorry about that, son."
"No problem. Just need a moment ta catch my breath," Ranma answered.
"That's good to hear. But I am pleased that you came."
"Pop brought me."
"I know, I know. It's just that I've been waiting for this day for so long.... Now that it's here, we can finally get through what has been so long in the making, with you and my daughters."
Ranma looked over at the daughters in question, and watched as Nabiki returned his gaze. She quirked up a brow and said,:
