Genma was not normal, and this HAD been more or less what he'd wanted for his child.
Ancient, yes. Place of warriors, yes. Place where skills could be learned, yes. Demons of a sort, that too.
So it was what Genma wanted, in a manner of speaking.
"What's a human kid doing here?" asked the demon.
"He's picked up a lot of karma points somewhere," said another demon.
"Well, then, we'll just have to make something useful out of him," said the first demon.
Time was relative between two universes. An hour in one could be a year in another. In this case though, the ratio WAS roughly 1:1. Or fairly close at least. By the time Genma realized his son would have been fourteen now, Ranma had spent sixteen years subjectively.
Of course, aging wasn't the only change made by his time away from Japan. Constant battle and training had made him a warrior all right, and master of special battle techniques just as Genma had desired. However he was also:
