Which was what Kira was doing. He’d spent nearly twenty hours working on software updates for the Freedom and the recalibration necessary to dock and operate the METEOR units. After being found dead asleep in the Freedom’s cockpit Athrun had carried him to his bedroom hours ago for shuteye. Lacus herself had recently woken up from a long sleep after spending a few wee hours past her normal biological clock’s settings for sleep.
Careful as to not make a sound, she stepped into the cabin and kneeled by the bed to gaze at the sleeping teen’s face. She found herself often doing this since the Jachin Due battle, coming into his room to gaze upon his sleeping face. She was happy to see he was frowning less in his sleep and looked peaceful compared to just a month ago.
Her fingers gently move some of his bangs out of his eyes, a smile lighting up her own face as he smiled more in his sleep at that. As she stood and turned to go, however, her eye caught sight of Kira’s uniform on the floor and, well, that wouldn’t do! She bent down to pick up the uniform and gathered the loose articles of clothing scattered next to the uniform shirt.
As Lacus was picking up his clothing, Kira himself slightly stirred from his sleep. With his eyes blinking a few times since his vision was blurry, he could make out a familiar outline but he couldn’t just yet see who it was clearly.
Softly bouncing near its mistress, the Pink Haro which has always been Lacus’s constant companion since Athrun created it took notice of Kira’s awakening and decided to take action. “WAKE UP! WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD!” Its chirps bouncing closer to Lacus, its mouthpiece opening, catching a piece of Lacus’s gown before it bounced up again.
Lacus let out a yelp while Kira’s now un-blurry eyes went wide when her dress went up and showed off to Kira the pink lace panties the Pink Songstress was wearing. Lacus quickly pulled down her dress shooting her Haro a disapproving look which was diminished slightly by her blush. “That was not nice Mr. Pink!”
”KIRA LIKES IT!” the bouncing pink toy chirped.
Lacus blinked and leaned her head to the side, catching a now awake Kira with a hand over his nose which was bleeding a bit. This in turn caused both teens to blush furiously (and Lacus more so than before) at this awkward moment.
Orb Union:
”Man I hate getting outfitted,” Kou muttered as he walked around the Parliament building, tugging on the collar of his new uniform. The previous one he borrowed for the briefing was still a bit big so Kisaka told him to get outfitted and, well, like most guys he just didn’t like anything related to clothing, be it shopping or being outfitted with them. “Darn thing still itches too, break it in my ass. I can’t see how anybody can wear these things.”
After seeing Lowe, Kisato and Liam off after breakfast, he stopped by the hanger that morning to check up on Gold Frame’s repairs. The suit would need another day in the shop before he would even dare to take it into combat again. After that he was dragged by Kisaka to a briefing with the M1 pilots of the Kusanagi for the launch preparations and the plans to regroup with the Archangel and Eternal.
Once that was done he was then sent to the base tailor’s to get his own custom uniform fitted, and well now he was in the Parliament building looking for Cagalli whom he had not seen all day since he left the hotel room.
He had to stop for a second when his mind took a little trip to last night and the early-early morning events that had transpired in their room. Part of himself was puzzled about what to make of their tryst. Was it a pity lay or something more? He shook his head; he could debate it later and even get his answer from his temptress’s mouth tonight.
As he rounded a corner he heard a familiar voice coming from a room he just passed. Back tracking his steps to the door where the voices were coming from; he opened the door to peek inside. Yep, it was Cagalli alright, but that wasn’t what caused his jaw to hit the floor.
The cause was the dress Cagalli was wearing; the Orb Princess wore a Vanilla-white gown that many would consider a cloth masterpiece. The main dress itself was form fitting mostly without crushing into her skin. The skirt length was mid-thigh, a few inches above the knee as to be naughty. A frontal dress-flap came down from the lower stomach to just over her knees, connected to the upper torso part of the gown. The upper part showed a “generous” deal of cleavage, while holding her breasts up modestly in a way. Her legs were covered by long stockings of the same color; on her feet she wore matching low-heels. The final accessory was a cape-piece that went from a collar around her neck, and down her back to near floor length. The part of the cape from her shoulders to a few inches above her elbow are bare, moving down to arm-length gloves that are a part of the cape with golden ornate wristbands each with a blue gem topped on it.
To Kou that outfit just accented her “Goddess of Battle” image.
After getting over his awe, he finally took notice of why Cagalli was shouting irately. Some purple-haired schmuck wearing a junior representative uniform was talking to her. The smugness in his body language and the haughtiness of his voice made Kou cringe and want to rip out his voice box.
”Yuna I do not want to discuss this right now!”
Yuna? Oh so this was Seiran’s son…
”But Cagalli, it’s a topic that we should deal with as soon as possible. After all, the wedding date won’t be far off with your 18th Birthday only a year and a half away,” Yuna retorts coolly with a grin.
“I do not want anything to do with that marriage arrangement. That was something between our Dads, not us!”
Yuna shrugged. “Perhaps, but Cagalli, our union will be a morale boost for the Orb people. Both of our families have served Orb long since its formation, and for both to be joined will be just what could help lighten their spirits.”
Cagalli winced, he just had to use “for the good or Orb” tactics and in a logical sense she could hardly argue too! “That’s possibly true but-“
”We all must do what is in the best interest of Orb and its people Cagalli, you of all of us should understand that we have duties we often might not care for at first.”
”So says the chump just trying to get into her pants.”
”Exact-WHAT?!” Yuna roared and turned toward the voice that said those words.
Kou stood in the doorway, leaning on the doorframe with crossed arms and a sour expression. “If you think that kinda smooth talk is gonna convince her to tie the knot, then I’m the Grand Poobah of Douche-Land.”
”E-excuse me?!” Yuna stared down at this… impudent child who dared to try and make him look like a fool in front of Cagalli.
”Sure Cagalli-chan is a diplomat but she’s also a fiery girl moron, she needs someone who can do more than play lip-service.” Kou remarks as he walks into the room past Yuna towards Cagalli. “Cagalli-chan needs a man who’s strong, confident, can compliment her, put up with her stubbornness without being a demeaning baka, and support her needs as well as match her wits.” Kou flashed Yuna a sly grin. “Plus, I doubt she wants a limp-dick in the bedroom. She most certainly needs someone who can dish and deliver rather than just a receiver like you strike me as.”
”KOU!” Cagalli exclaimed bright red, while Yuna stammered in shock at the young man’s boldness.
Walking over, Kou wrapped an arm around Cagalli’s waist. “What? From the sounds you and Athrun made at the Junius Resort it sounded like you prefer hardcore action,” he said while flashing her a sly wink.
Cagalli started to catch on what he was up too. “You little… you shouldn’t be eavesdropping on adult activities!”
”Who said I snooped? You two were so fucking loud the whole complex heard ya.”
She bopped him on the head. “Mind your own business twerp!”
”Whatever, c’mon, I’m supposed to escort ya to see Kisaka.” He dragged her out of the room, leaving a twitching, stammering Yuna behind them.
It wasn’t until they were outside the building that the façade of stone-walled faces began to crack and the two began to laugh aloud like two hyenas.
“Oh my God I think you broke his brain!” Cagalli snickered as she hugged herself.
”What brain? I didn’t think he had anything upstairs to break!!”
That caused another round of laughs.
”Thanks Kou,” she smiled at him warmly, “for pulling me out of there before I either lost my nerve or went postal.”
”Eh, it was nothing.” He looked at her intently. “I have to say though, that dress is awesome, what’s the occasion?”
”Oh there’s going to be a small ball held tonight where the head of Orb will address the nation and also have a dinner with leaders from our ally nation,.” She answered. “And this is what they outfitted for me.”
He nodded. “I Gotta admit, it does heighten your “Goddess of Victory” title.”
She blushed softly. “You’re just saying that.”
He grinned. “Hardly,” he said as he pulled her close, planting a quick kiss on her lips. “You’ll have a helluva time keeping the men at the ball from trying to tear that thing off of you.”
”What about you?” She smirked against his lips before pulling back. “Do you want to rip this off me?”
”I’d rather undress you slowly,” he answered. “I’d like to see you wear that again.”
”Good answer, but once you undressed me what would you do with me?” she asked coyly.
”Depends, a few ideas come to me. Mostly about kissing you sensually and making love till the sun comes up.”
Cagalli’s chuckled throatily. “For your age, you’re not bad at this.”
”Kids grow up fast these days. ’Sides I had a good teacher last night.”
”Flatterer.” She kissed his cheek. “Well I sadly need to make preparations for tonight, can I expect you to be there to kidnap me if I need to disappear?”
”I wouldn’t miss it for the world, but I do demand first dance.”
”Deal.”
Space:
Taking a deep inhale of his coffee, Steamhein smiled and sipped the brew before staring out the window looking out into space. He had just finished going over the time-tables for the plans and everything was moving beautifully as he predicted.
The Messiah and Desolation Messenger would be completed as their scheduled predicted.
His project, involving the remains of the Regenerate Gundam, was progressing smoothly.
The key players in his scenario were where they needed to be and thus far he didn’t see any problems that would require him to personally see to making “adjustments” to his plans.
”Soon,” he murmured softly, “my work will bear the desired fruit and the chosen ones will be able to take the reigns of destiny and either fix or destroy this world.” He finished his cup and setted it down.
”Now I believe with my work done it is time to play.” He smirked, standing up from his chair. “I believe I owe Miss Chambers a “Mobile Suit Christening” lesson.” He chuckled in a giddy way as he leaves the office.
The seeds of the future have been sown. Will it be eternal war that humanity has wrought or does hope and peace exist over the horizon?
