However, if he was bound - he couldn't doom anyone. The Ring couldn't work its evil.
So Ranma made the assumption that he could get free of the ropes due to natural talent. He was able to wiggle free of the chains, and then remove the gag.
Getting out of the closet without his guards noticing was more difficult.
"NO! RANMA-SAMA! DON'T!" called out Kodachi as he stepped out in plain view.
Seeing Kodachi rushing forward, Kasumi coming out of her chair, Shampoo reaching for a spare gag, Ranma blurted out something. The words seemed to hang in the air in some "bullet time" moment where time was barely crawling.
Kodachi had a moment to stare horrified, reaching for Ranma as quickly as she could and knowing that she was going to be too late. Kasumi merely looked startled. Shampoo was leaping forward as well.
"I wish-"
