Missing Male: Seeing Twilight [Episode 153701]

If one would have looked closely enough, they would have been able to see the girl that Akane had been in her face. The basic lines were still there, and she could see what she had lost in that mirror. Hints of a face that would have had a mature beauty during middle age were there, as she had the remnants of the sort of attractiveness that only a strong woman could have. But all that was marred by the wrinkles that were creasing her face, and the weakness of her hands. It was not the face of one who had strode into her golden years, but was one of whom age had taken its toll, with the deep creases at her eyes and mouth making her show age more than she already did. As it was, the lank white hair framed a face that had the look of one in her sixties, as the bloom of what had been faded away like a yellowed photograph.

Akane reached towards the mirror with a hand that was trembling both from her physical condition, and her emotions. "That's... me?"

"That it is, child," Cologne replied.

"I...."

"This is why I was afraid to let you see this, sis," Nabiki sighed.

The Amazon Elder's mouth thinned. "You can't protect her in this."

"I can at least make it easier."

"True, but she had a right to know about this."

"Yeah, well, she looks so... old."

"Which is the way that you're going to have to think of her, as she isn't going to be able to do a lot of the things that she used to."

"But don't you martial artist types grow older better than the rest of us? I mean, look at you. You're bouncing around more than a lot of younger fighters."

"But she doesn't have the same training that I do. I had decades to get to the point where I kept my body at this level. What I can do is the result of spending much of that time raising my level in the Art," Cologne sighed, and looked over to Akane. "On the other hand, she has the same level of knowledge in the Art as she did before this happened to her, and has a body ravaged by that damned thing as well."

"So, she could have learned to get herself strong enough to move like she was much younger, once she reached that age naturally, but since she didn't, she doesn't know enough, and has a body that would be too weak to do anything anyway."

"Unfortunately, that is exactly it, child."

"Damn."

"I look like this...." Akane whispered.

"Sis...."

"And Ranma's got that Ring on his hand...."

"Yeah. he does."

Looking at the reflection of what she had become, Akane took a trembling breath before starting to sob as hard as she could.

Nabiki's lips thinned and she closed her eyes in an attempt to hold onto her control, while:
