Gynoids had been among many of those. Able to exist for long periods without air, strong, durable, and not discomfited by low air pressure or many of the hazards - the gynoid was one of the "work horses" of the pokegirl groups.
Which was where Akane and her sisters Mist and Silver had come in, at the Daisy Hill PokeFarm run by a young man named Brock. Akane had a number of "sisters" within the farm, located in Boulder Dome, but had been closer to the two who had been grouped with her as a "complimentary group."
Akane was a Steel-type, which meant she was strong and tough and could handle conditions that other pokegirls would have difficulty with. Mist was an Air-type and Silver was Fire-type. Joining them frequently but briefly - always on the move had been a Water-type and an Electric-type. Akane didn't expect to see the other two sisters, but she knew that Mist and Silver would be here.
The clueless bumbling Master followed along behind her. Well, at least she hadn't ended up with someone worse. Best to put a good face on it, despite her own reservations.
"Minsc!" called out her trainer.
"Gyn?" asked Akane. (What's a 'minsc'?)
"Little Buddy," called out some massively muscular fellow.
"Gyn..." said Akane, wondering how someone that massive hadn't been noticed by her.
"So, Minsc, is this your pokegirl? Hiya!" said Ash to the mousegirl.
"This is Boo," said Minsc proudly, patting the girl on the head. "She is Minsc' pokegirl!"
"Squee, squee, squeak," said Boo, looking happy. (I know he's not that bright, but he seems to have a big heart.)
"Gyn gyn noid gyn," said Akane. (I think I'm in a similar situation. Except yours has got a big everything.)
"Squee squeak," said Boo, ducking her head and blushing through her fur.
"Gyn NOID," said Akane. (I didn't mean it THAT way.)
"You take good care of my friend Minsc," Ash seriously told the mousegirl.
"Squeak squee," said the mousegirl, nodding.
As the two groups walked off on their own paths, Akane shook her head. Some pokegirls had such dirty minds. She hadn't said anything improper. Still, look at the size difference there. The human had to be close to seven feet in height. Boo was maybe half that size. Yet Boo was going to take care of Minsc?
"I should have known you'd end up with a flatchested common type like THAT, Ash," said another boy. "I doubt you can even toilet train that one."
Akane stopped in mid-stride. Slowly she turned. Step by step. Inch by inch.
The smirking boy kept up the smirk. "Can't even keep her in control, eh, Ash?"
Suddenly there was someone in Akane's way. Akane's eyes narrowed. Her kit-hood rival and someone who'd made her life a lot more complicated.
"Und und und unDINE," said the Water-type, beckoning.
Ash was rather surprised to see steam literally jet out of Akane's ears. "Akane, return!"
"Good thing you pokeballed her," said Gary. "My undine would have washed away your washed up pokegirl like so much dirt."
"Un UNDINE," agreed the undine.
"Let's forget about the pokegirls," said Ash, trying to crack his knuckles. "Just you and me, loudmouth."
Gary looked puzzled for a moment. The little runt trying to take him on? There had to be a trick. "Yeah right, loser. I don't have time for teenie tiny losers like you. I have a bright destiny ahead of me, unlike you. Come on, undine."
"Undine," agreed the undine, then turning to follow her trainer.
Ash waited until they were gone before releasing Akane again.
"GYN NOID GYN GYN AKANE GYN NOID!" yelled Akane as soon as she finished materializing.
"Because we're being watched," said Ash, jerking a thumb at a little dome inset into the ceiling. "Not to mention what repairing you would do to my budget."
"Gynnnnn," seethed Akane.
"Remember this when I'm training you," said Ash. "Then, when the time comes, kick that little undine's behind so hard she'll be tasting your shoe leather for a month."
"Gyn!" said Akane, stalking off towards the storage bay.
"I'll wait here," said Ash. Only pokegirls and facility personnel were allowed in there.
