There was something there. A presence. Something powerful enough to constitute a threat, a rival.
It would find this rival, and it would stomp it.
"We can stop both of them," said Sailor Mars. "If we can beat Beryl, we can handle them."
"But it's GOJIRA," said Sailor Venus.
"But we DIED fighting Beryl," added Sailor Jupiter.
"Maybe we could make friends," said Sailor Moon.
"Why are you digging a foxhole then?" asked Nova. "Ami? You died?"
"Uhm," hedged Sailor Mercury. "We got better."
"When was this?" asked Nova, understandably concerned.
"A few weeks ago," said Sailor Jupiter, eyeing Ami's brother and wondering if she could get some cuddle time in before anything like that happened again.
Sailor Venus had been pondering that very issue, and was now wondering how to broach the subject. "Maybe we could find a couple of tiny girls to sing to them?"
"That was Mothra," said Sailor Moon, a moment before the sand collapsed in her foxhole, burying her to the chin. "Oopsie."
"Slim Whitman albums?" asked Sailor Jupiter.
"I hated 'Mars Attacks'," said Sailor Mars.
"Fire extinguishers?" asked Sailor Venus.
"That was another movie - 'the blob'," said Sailor Mars.
"Oh look, isn't that a love hotel?" asked Sailor Venus, pointing. "The view from there, uhm, would be a good tactical advantage, right? Do you mind if I borrow your brother, Ami-chan?"
"Maybe Ami-chan's brother would like to help me get that ice cream truck over here?" asked Sailor Jupiter. "I think I saw one when we were flying over here."
Birds suddenly took wing, flying out of the area.
"I gotta bad feeling about this," said Nova. Whether it was the sudden disappearance of birds, the looks from a couple of the Senshi, or the radio broadcasts he was tuning into were the point of concern was not immediately obvious.
"Come on, you're a man, aren't you?" asked Sailor Mars.
"Last I checked," said Nova, "and what does that haveta do about bein' caught between the HULK and GOJIRA?!"
