"Eeek," said Sailor Moon, perspiring very heavily. She couldn't see what had just blocked the sun over her, being turned from that direction, but she didn't have a good feeling about this at all.
Nova looked over the Hulk's stance. No immediate threat. Body language was wrong for that.
"(Accident,)" said Sailor Venus, able to speak English very well.
"(Oh, Ball-hair Girl make boo boo,)" said the Hulk, nodding. "(Someone say 'ice cream'? Hulk hungry.)"
"What he say?" asked Sailor Jupiter.
"He said he overheard us talking about ice cream and wondered where it was," said Ranma, who spoke English in part because of some experience with the language and partly because of his sister's tutoring.
"Huh?" asked the Hulk.
"(I just told them you understood her problem,)" said Nova to the Hulk.
"(Yes, Hulk make share of boo boos too,)" said the Hulk agreeably.
"(Her name isn't 'ball hair girl' though,)" put in Ami. "(It's-)"
"Odango atama," said Sailor Mars abruptly, having an inkling of what they were saying. She pointed at the girl buried in the sand.
"Oh-dan-goh," said the Hulk, trying it out. He smiled. "Odango. Odango. (Hah. That sound funny.)"
"Rei-chan?" asked Sailor Moon, staring.
"Odango," said the Hulk, pointing at Sailor Moon.
"I think he's got it," said Sailor Mars.
"Odango," said the Hulk, smiling in a sort of childish glee.
"Oh great, now he thinks Sailor Moon is named 'Odango'," said Mercury.
A large bubble erupted on the surface of the ocean a few hundred yards away with a loud BLURP!
"I think Gojira-san is coming," said Nova nervously.
"Why sound so respectful?" asked Mars.
"I have a great deal of respect for earthquakes, tsunami, Gojira, the Hulk, typhoons, nuclear missiles," began Ranma, ticking things off on his fingers.
"Okay..." said Mars.
"-my sister - especially when she's got a mood going," continued Nova.
"Okay, I get the picture," said Mars.
"Odango," repeated the Hulk.
Sailor Jupiter tapped Nova on the shoulder. "I need to find that ice cream truck. Give me a lift?"
Barely forty seconds passed before Jupiter brought back an ice cream truck, when:
