"We are?" Ranma asked, sounding rather surprised.
"Why wouldn't we?"
"Well, ya guys mighta had your own plans."
"We did...."
Chiyo nodded at what the gym teacher was saying. "We were going to one of the places that my family owns, but most of those are out in the open. That's no place to hide."
"So we all decided that it would be best to be able to go someplace where no one really knows that it even exists," Yomi put in. "And your mountain village sounds like just a place."
"Well, it isn't 'mine', but I do know 'bout it, and the people livin' there," Ranma admitted.
"And wouldn't that be a great place for us to go?"
"Actually.... It probably would, considerin' how isolated it is. 'Xcept... do ya guys have a problem with bein' that far away from people? Ya could be there for a long time...."
"As it's a choice between that, and chased around by a bunch of boneheads who either want to kill us, or consider us subhuman, or both, I think that we'd prefer to be in the place that we might be uncomfortable, but still breathing."
"And it's not like we have to worry about keeping track of everything! I've brought some neat stuff with us that'll let us watch television and listen to the radio!" the ten year old prodigy put in.
"The place doesn't really have electricity, if I remember right," the pigtailed boy told her.
"That's okay. I'm sure that we can work things out."
"I hope so...."
"Do you think that they'll have some problem with us coming?" Yomi asked.
"A little bit, but since their Matriarch's bringin' a bunch of girls ta the village, and that group's expectin' me ta meet 'em there, there shouldn't be too much trouble. They'd probably think it good that I brought other people."
"Then what's got you so... anxious?"
"Not 'anxious'. Surprised. I didn't expect this many girls would wanna come with someone like me," he said with a wry twist to his mouth, and looked around at the group with him, while:
