It was a simple idea, borne out of a desire to fix as much of the damage as possible. After all, just fixing the after affects of the madness would have left plenty of people dead and maimed, and that didn't sit well with any of the Senshi. Then there was the fact that Setsuna hadn't been in control of her actions, as she had been under the influence of something that wasn't very nice. Besides, there was all that she had, and might have done before the whole madness incident.
So, the power lanced out to the point when Setsuna would have been infested with that evil little thing. At just the right moment, it shot into the way, and saved Pluto from becoming a genocidal perverted bitch. Instead, she would go on, continuing to be the same person that she had been when she had started to take her peek into the past.
However, there was just one thing that threw a wrench into the whole situation. When one played with time, there was never any way to be absolutely certain of what would happen. Pluto had learned that in her own way, though she might not have been aware of that. And now, there was a group of Senshi about to learn the same thing.
That was because they were about to discover that what they had done had resulted in, if nothing else,:
