"Hal, any signs of her body?"
"Sorry, Superman. Apparently when the universes separated again, it tore a rift into a completely unknown universe. Since Kara's body was floating between two of the Earths, it got swept away in the wake of separation."
"I thought the Anti-Monitor destroyed all the other universe," Superman said.
A female voice spoke up. "He said that he destroyed over a thousand universes. The last time I checked the Book of Oa, there were more than five million universes. He definitely did not get the universe that exists five seconds in the future or the one that you and the Justice League sealed away that was stealing energy from other universes. He also did not get the magical universe that holds Skaratis and Gemworld."
Superman gave a slight chuckle. "Thanks Arisia. Maybe I can get Amy to help."
"Amy?" Arisia asked.
"Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld. Then again, she might have her own problems."
"Um Superman? Leave her alone. My ring just informed me that there was a fight involving a Lord of Chaos and a Lord of Order on Gemworld. The Lord of Chaos was weakened and ejected, while somehow the Lord of Order gained the powers. We now have the only Lord of Balance living on Gemworld," Arisia said hesitantly.
"Right. I'm not suicidal."
"I'm sorry Superman, but I and the other members of the Green Lantern Corps have to get back to our sectors," Arisa said. "I wish we could have found your cousin's body."
In an effort to fight the pain, Superman asked, "Hal? Who drew Tomar's sector?"
"The Guardians accepted me back as a Green Lantern, but John Stewart is still Green Lantern of Sector 2814. I'm heading off to Sector 2813."
"And Guy Gardner?"
"He met some woman in the Global Guardians that has a somewhat calming influence on him. I believe her name is Tora. The Guardians have decided to leave Guy on Earth, since it appears the two of them are dating."
"Two active Green Lanterns on a single planet?"
"Kal after what happened with the Anti-Monitor, the Guardians want to keep a close eye on Earth," Hal replied.
"Thanks for your assistance Hal. I guess I'll just have to tell Zor-El and Allura what happened," Superman said softly.
"I wish you luck in that Superman."
Superman clicked off the communications uplink and headed to one of the rooms in his Fortress of Solitude. He stared up at a large statue of his cousin.
"I miss you cousin. Salkor. I want to find out what really happened."
Superman picked up a device that looked like a radar gun with a small television screen on the back of it.
"We used this to find out about Krypton's past, I can use it to see when you met Salkor."
Before Superman left the Fortress, he spotted a dead black plant lying on the ground. Using his vision powers, he confirmed the plant had died three weeks ago.
"Macduff, I want you and the other robots to repair any and all damage done to the Fortress. All computers must have all passwords reset. Use Streaky as the password."
"Inquiry: Why?"
"Mongul has escaped the effect of the Black Mercy. I don't want any surprises when I come back. Since I just completely redid your systems yesterday, I know you're safe."
"Understood."
Superman flew off to find out the truth of Supergirl's past.

Back in the universe that Iczeria had left, the Cthullu spaceship had been intercepted by Big Gold. Iczer-1 had instinctively flown away from the sudden possession. The now mind controlled Sir Violet informed Big Gold of Iczeria.
In its strange dual voice, Big Gold said, "Wake Iczer-1B up. I'm going to send her after Iczer-1A."
Sir Violet did so and handed her a black bodysuit with red as the breastplate color. Iczer-1B knelt before Big Gold and awaited instructions.
"Before I could stop them, Iczer-1 and Iczer-1A have fled this ship. Iczer-1 is not that strong. I want you to find Iczer-1A and convince her to join us or kill her. Since she is calling herself Iczeria, I shall dub you Zerib."
Zerib bowed her head and stated, "It shall be done."
Before leaving, Zerib found Iczeria's old clothes and the cloth she was wrapped in. She placed all of it in a small box and stared hatefully at the box.
"She was altered into one of us. I will prove that being created as one is stronger than some altered being," Zerib thought. "If she joins us, I'll just have to upstage her. I hope she doesn't join."
She had to ask Sir Violet on how to use her powers, before she left. Once she had the instructions, she followed Iczeria into another universe. Somewhere deep inside Zerib's mind, she felt the wrongness of her actions.
This would be the last time Zerib would see Big Gold.

Iczeria was hovering in a red sun system. There was an asteroid belt composed of radioactive rocks orbiting the sun. A large spherical rock caught her attention and she flew towards it. Landing on the surface, she spotted some communications antennae and recording devices pointed upwards. Iczeria found a small bunker that acted as a nerve center for the devices she found.
"How can I understand this language?" Iczeria muttered to herself, as she typed in some commands.
She watched raptly as she saw an inhabited moon blown up by accident and then in horror as the planet that it orbited exploded. As the planet exploded, she noticed that a small rocket was shot mere moments before the explosion and that a city somehow survived the planet blowing up and was flung into space with some of the atmosphere. Iczeria leaned back in the maintenance chair.
"This must have been an uninhabited moon of that planet."
Iczeria grasped her head and tears fell from her eyes. "Why is this important to me? What was the name of that planet? There is something about that city that was flung away. It's important, but why?"
Iczeria left the moon and flew into the asteroid belt. She grabbed a rock that was glowing red and one that was glowing gold and she landed upon a large green glowing rock.
"I feel fear of these rocks, but it makes no sense. Maybe they had some minor effect on me, before the alterations."
Iczeria looked at the gold and red rock and then flung them back into the asteroid belt. She quickly flew off in the direction that she saw that city was tossed into. As she flew, she started glowing red and then shot off at FTL speeds looking like a travelling red beam of light.
