[Episode 155865] [Episode 155865]"This is horrible. At least I know why the green rocks scared me," Iczeria muttered, as she knelt by the body of a five-year-old child.
The child's corpse was glowing green. Iczeria looked around and saw other corpses. All of the bodies had the same glowing green pallor.
"Radiation poisoning," Iczeria whispered to herself.
Iczeria stood up and started walking once more. She bit her lower lip to keep from crying at seeing all the corpses lying around. In her mind, Iczeria could see the people going about their lives and see the children laughing. One very painful image came up, when she saw a lead plate over a crack in the ground. It was of a young girl chasing a ball to a crack in the ground and then collapsing from getting too close to the hole. Iczeria grasped the plate with her right hand and ripped it upwards. Once she did so, she looked down. She reached down into the exposed hole with her left hand and retrieved the ball that she saw in her memory.
"I was here. I remember warning her to stay away, but I can't recall her name," Iczeria muttered, as she stared at the ball.
She let the plate drop and rolled the ball down the street with a gentle toss. Sighing, she continued her walk, feeling a sense of familiarity in the direction she was going. Iczeria stopped a few times, when she heard some sounds. It turned out to be some machines that were still running. She examined the devices and put them out of her mind, as she walked on. She soon arrived at an empty building. Entering the building, she walked around and felt that the place was familiar in some way. She went up to the second level and found a bedroom with some toys lying around. Picking up a small golden sphere, Iczeria turned it on and watched the holographic light show that was accompanied by music. Sitting down on the bed, she stared at the other toys.
"This...this..," Iczeria whispered, as her lower lip trembled.
In a flash of red light, she teleported out of the city and back into space.
Shaking her head clear of the tears, Iczeria stared at the giant glowing green asteroid.
"There might be answers for me here, but it's too..."
Iczeria blinked away her tears and shook her head. "It might be painful, but I need to know."
Her body glowed red and she teleported back inside the dome. She used the vague memories she had to find a lab and started hunting through the devices. She pulled a few devices down and started working on them.
"I must have been a scientist or lived with one," Iczeria said to herself. "I understand all this equipment."
She soon built a gun like device and teleported back outside the asteroid.
"This thing should tap into my Iczer powers and take care of the radiation," Iczeria thought, as she pointed the gun at the huge asteroid.
A blast of red energy bather the glowing green rock and soon the green glow faded away, to be replaced by a grayish and black mass. Iczeria tapped the side of the asteroid and frowned.
"Iron? I was expecting lead, since I was accelerating the half-life."
Iczeria shook her head and put her hand to her forehead.
"That took more out of me than I thought. I need to rest. I saw some robots that looked functional. I'll just program them to bury all these people outside the dome and put up grave markers."
Iczeria teleported back inside the dome and quickly got the robots to do, as she wanted. She then headed back to the strangely familiar house and lay down on the upstairs bed.
"I need someone who can help me find out who I was," Iczeria thought.
Familiar but yet unfamiliar faces flashed through Iczeria's mind. For some reason, she rejected most of them. One face did cause her to stop and shudder in half-remembered pain. It was of a man with piercing blue eyes. Instinctively, she knew the man was no threat to her, but something about him had a lot of pain associated with him. Moving through the faces, she finally rested upon the image of a woman with red hair and green eyes. For some reason, Iczeria got the image of a yellow bat when thinking of that woman.
"Yes. I think she's the one who can help me. I think her name is...Barbra?"
Inside of Iczeria's body, the last of her Kryptonian powers, weakened by the Gold K, lost the fight against her new Iczer powers. The Iczer powers made the final adjustments and waited.
