Text-Based Yu-Gi-Oh GX: Cornered [Episode 155941]

by Yasanagi

You get Pot of Greed (Normal Magic).

Here's hoping that my luck holds out. Play Pot of Greed.

You draw two cards from your deck and get Black Pendant (Equip Magic) and Monster Reborn (Normal Magic).

Activate Monster Reborn to revive Maha Vailo. Then put Black Pendant on it.

Out of curiosity, why Maha? With Black Pendant on him, your monster's attack would only be 2550 but if you went with Sillva, you could have a 2800 attack point beatstick.

I remember the episode where Yami Bakura got backstabbed when Bakura's soul changed the target of his magic card Change of Heart to his own monster and left himself open for attack. I don't want to risk a similar backstabbing from Sillva's soul since the Dark World clan is a tightly knit family.

That's decent reasoning. Anyways, your monster comes back and is equipped with Black Pendant.

Lay the smackdown on Goldd!

Goldd's body shatters and is replaced with the dueling spirit of Goldd himself in a state of flux. The extra damage got carried over to his Life Points which brings him down to 1500.

That's all I can do for now. End turn. Hopefully, he isn't packing magic cards like Fissure and Hammer Shot!

"A lucky draw, boy..." Goldd draws and plays his own Pot of Greed magic card before drawing twice more. "I place one card face down. And then I activate the magic card Brave Attack! This card allows me to combine the attack points of all my face up attack mode monsters and use them to take out a strong monster on your side!" Zure and Beiige both charge at Maha Vailo at the same time and ram themselves into your Spellcaster monster.

Shit!!

When the smoke clears, there are no monsters left on the field except for Goldd's Unhappy Maiden. Your monster has been completely destroyed again and Goldd's Life Points are down to 1000 due to Black Pendant damage. But he's in far better shape than you at the moment. You have no cards in your hand, nothing on the field and only 50 Life Points. Almost all of your body is now transparent and this is really scaring Sho. You're also fortunate that Brave Attack has a backlash effect which forces Goldd to sacrifice all of his attack mode monsters after his Battle Phase. With nothing else to do, he ends his turn.

Once again, I require a miracle from my deck. Draw!

You get Dark Wall of Air (Instant Magic). This will be able to protect you for one turn.

Set it and end turn.

Goldd takes the time to activate The Forces of Darkness. His trap card allows him to return two monsters with "Dark World" in their names from his Graveyard to his hand. He then summons Brron, Mad King of Dark World (4/1800/400) in attack mode. If it successfully deals Battle Damage to you, Goldd can choose and discard a card. He orders his comrade to attack you directly.

Activate Dark Wall of Air.

You become surrounded by a protective barrier which stops his monster from harming you. Goldd places a card face down before ending his turn.

Draw for Draw Phase.

You get Shield Wall (Instant Magic).

Activate it and then end turn.

Four Shield Tokens (1/1000/1000) are Special Summoned to your side of the field in defense mode. As your turn ends, Goldd takes the time to use activate Jar of Greed to draw another card. He then draws for his Draw Phase before summoning Zure, Knight of Dark World (4/1800/1500) in attack mode again. He plays a magic card called Shield Crush to destroy one of your Tokens before destroying two more during his Battle Phase. He took a brief moment to gloat. "You're only delaying the inevitable, boy."

Say: "As long as I still have Life Points and cards in my deck, it ain't over." I seriously hope that my next draw supports what I just said.
