Nerdette was classified as a Very Near Human, Psychic Type. Her ears and eyes were subtly different from a human's, if you looked closely. Her skin had thread-like markings that marked paths along her childish body. Internally there were more differences, but with the right clothing and makeup she could pass for human.
Ami Mizuno, on the other hand, was completely human (as far as she knew) and was looking at herself. Sort of. Kind of.
Ami's mother knew who these were, but more important - that these were injured children. She quickly busied herself, focussing on the injuries. All of them were human enough that certain things could be treated, and that was what she set out to do.
"Running ID on the plates. Car is registered to a physician at Juuban Medical Center, a pediatrician named Kumori Mizuno. Record's clean except for illegal parking, two citations over the past five years. Over."
"Roger. Orders? Over."
"We'll go to surveillance. Husband is Kiyohiko Azuma, artist type. A few trespassing charges, usually caught on private property with a bunch of art supplies. Gets so caught up in his art that he tunes out little details like 'no trespassing' signs. Over."
"Know the type. Send me the doctor's home address. I'll set up an observation point there. Over."
"Looks like they're heading for her hospital. You'll have time. Other agents will handle the other locations. Address follows -"
The hospital was a bustle of activity.
Young celebrities was part of the draw. That some of the celebrities had unique physiologies was of interest to those to whom fame was not an attractant.
Young Doctor Mizuno found senior staff members who wouldn't even offer a good morning to her were very solicitous as word of her young charges spread through the hospital. The fabled Japanese superhero team-in-training was here, bearing injuries from their latest adventure!
Usagi and Hotaru could have used their healing abilities on their own sisters, but something else occurred altogether. On finding a burn ward, they went around and exhausted themselves using those talents to ease the human suffering they found there.
