Kasumi had been politely listening to the woman from the power company as she emptied her basket and put her purchases away. Then she'd happened upon the lonely little cracker and, without thinking much of it, swallowed it down.
Suddenly the woman's words and questions weren't nearly so interesting as the shape of her lips. Kasumi watched her speaking as the warmth of a change moved through her body. As the first streaks of white and black striped fur started peeking out of her skin, the woman handed over something to be signed and Kasumi met her lips instead.
And soon there were two zebras.

Shampoo pulled her bike to a sudden fear-invoking stop at the door to a delivery. She blinked in confusion upon seeing the cracker sitting atop her delivery boxes, but decided to ignore the question of how it got there in favor of just taking a snack.
The feline in the magic had reached Shampoo's eyes as she half-stumbled up to the secretary's desk.

Konatsu had been heading to the public baths when the box crossed his path and left a little present.
Instead of a quiet and feminine boy heading to the the men's side, a rapidly blossoming rabbit turned into the woman's side eagerly.

Not all the residents of Nerima found themselves at the start of a new breed, however.
Ukyou's first hint of strange happenings was when the American marine she'd been serving came up behind her and thrust a hand into her clothing. Before she could respond, the naval officer that had been with the marine was pulling down her tights and dining on something more private than Ukyou's okonmiyaki.
As the enchanted lust surged through her, Ukyou soon found herself supping at the furry breast of a newly wolfish American.

Kodachi had been taking an afternoon stroll (or roofhop), when she suddenly found herself tangled in a nigh invisible net. Swiftly following that, several curvy forms with sleek, multi-colored skin started climbing their way to her.
Her initial complaints of indignation were soon replaced by eager moans and shrieks of ecstacy.

It didn't take long for people to start noticing things were strange. At first, many suspected a convention of some sort. The changes to the women were relatively minor compared to a lot of what would be assumed.
Even where fur was grown, hair colors stayed the same. Ears and eyes changed, but other facial features remained human, if furry, scaly or feathery. They grew tails and, in some cases, wings, but otherwise stayed the same two arms and two legs with feet.
It wasn't common for the animal women to be caught in the act of sex and transformation. Most of the women, even still under the influence of the overwhelming lust, sought privacy before seducing or pouncing on their objects of interest, but it was largely a difference from woman to woman. Even so, however, as the numbers of "cosplayers" grew, people began to figure out something strange was going on.
Then Ranma's three hours passed, and others swiftly after that. And, while the transformation ceased being contaigious for each individual that hit that three hours, now the lust could pass to men.
Nerima-ward and some of the surrounding area remained a sex-crazed wild kingdom for a good day and a half, followed by an incredible silence as the exhausted men and women slept and recovered after the ordeal.
As people awakened...
