There was, unfortunately, a crack running through the wall that had the explanation, and a chunk had fallen sometime since the Silver Millenium and was now part of the dust that seemed to be the main decoration for the chamber.
So she didn't know how many, just that there was more than one of the buggers.
Ranma was one. A Dragon Of The Earth Kingdom. A Weapon that could only be activated and commanded by one pure of heart.
Well, that caused Setsuna some degree of calm. After all, who really qualified anymore? Pureness of heart had never been exactly a common thing - in fact she couldn't think of anyone that really qualified amongst those that Ranma SHOULD be associated with.
Okay, she really couldn't recommend the whole "sleeping until the end of time" thing, but it was so much better than it could have been.
Why, just imagine what would happen if Hotaru had slipped while exiting the hole above the sarcophogus, landed hard atop Ranma, sliding along the dust to plant her lips on his. Why that could have been...
Sailor Pluto slapped one hand over her face as she realized that without Mistress Nine - Hotaru had just done that and DID qualify as pure of heart (which was completely different from those Pure Heart Crystals that daimons went after) enough for something to occur.
th-thump!
"EEEEP!" said Hotaru on realizing that she'd just kissed some corpse. As she sat up, she realized that corpse might not have been accurate as the eyes were fluttering open and the boy was drawing breath.
A cute boy was drawing breath. A really really cute boy whose chest she was still sitting on.
"OMIGOSHI'MSOSORRY!" exclaimed Hotaru, climbing rapidly off.
Sailor Pluto groaned. Now Ranma was associated with the Soldier Of Sacrifice.
Still, there was hope. He might never get involved with anything or demonstrate his unnatural abilities.
Of course, that was quickly proven wrong as he demonstrated those talents. She knew that the Senshi were concept power-aligned (Time and Fire for example) while Ranma was the Dragon Of:
