Shinji Ikari was walking in the streets of Tokyo-3 without a clear purpose in mind. Another school day was over and he had synchro tests later today. It had been only a few days since operation Yashima and the defeat of the fifth angel. Rei was a little more open to him since then but it wasn't going very far for now, despite the wild theories of Touji and Kensuke.
He sighed. He had homework to do, cooking duty this evening, EVA was pain and his father wouldn't give him the time of day as usual. Angst was a daily companion of Shinji Ikari and the third child knew his life was crap.
Suddenly, Shinji fell face first into the pavement, having tripped on something he didn't see in time "Ow..." He stood up shakily and looked at the cause of his painful landing : an old and battered oil lamp, arabian style. He picked it up and tried to clean it, wishing to know if it was a real lamp or a cheap copy.
Shinji blinked (and with him, the section 2 agents assigned to watch over him) at the sight of the tanned blonde woman in flimsy clothes who appeared out of the smoke poured out by the lamp. She squealed when she saw him and trie to bow, unfortunately she made a wrong move and kissed the nearby wall "Owie..."
Shinji sweatdropped.

"So, Mihoshi-san, you're a genie and you can grant me a wish ?" When you were fighting giant monsters who were the messengers of God, the idea of a genie straight out of the Arabian Nights wasn't too far-fetched.
The galaxy police officer turned genie nodded vigorously "That's right ! But remember the limitations I just told you about or bad things would happen !"
The section 2 agents stayed in the shadows. They had classified Mihoshi as a very good prankster with money to waste and didn't act or notify NERV of this.
Shinji thought about it. A real wish... The problem was what to ask ? There were so much things wrong in his life already...
He gathered his willpower and said "I wish..."
