Shazam! : Not The Potato [Episode 156740]

by Kestral

In the 1940s there had been a person named Captain Marvel who had done many exciting things and fought for concepts that were considered outmoded today. Concepts like 'truth' and 'justice' and for the benefit of all people.

He'd retired during several years of bad press. When a scandal isn't present, some people were quite capable of manufacturing something. People also seemed to like seeing someone well-respected and in some measure of power brought down. So it was that eventually the Marvel Family vanished from view. Tawky Tawny might still be around, though getting on in years, but he was hosting a radio talk show out of Omaha - and therefore out of the eye of many who might still have made his life difficult.

Still, if you were old enough, you might remember a few things.

Such as the lightning bolt symbol on a certain top, coupled with a white demi-cape.

It took Cologne over an hour to determine what she suspected, and while the girl looked quite different - she knew.

Puzzling about the different appearance was quickly done. Obviously Mary Marvel had retired and this was either a son or grandson. Because of his being a descendent of Mary Marvel, he turned into a girl when going super. Of course, this was not the case, but it WAS a logical conclusion.

Cologne then hid the documents away again. She would undergo torture and still tell no one of this. There were secrets too costly not to keep them.

The Amazon Matriarch set out as soon as she could, taking an Amazon Treasure with her. It was not safe for Shampoo to return, most likely. Therefore, she'd see if Shampoo could accompany the idiot and the Marvel - perhaps this would eventually come back and benefit her people in some manner.

She could hope at least.
