For that much, she was happy, and she liked the girl, so saving her wasn't a problem. What had come after that was not only driving concern, but was kind of weird to contemplate.
"Is okay? Is okay?" Shampoo asked as she trailed in the wake of the gorgeous redhead who had saved her from having to risk being groped by that junior jackass of the Old Men.
Ranma-chan Marvel had started out carrying her father over her shoulder, but had long lost the impressiveness of her exit. Now she just dragged the old pain in the ass along as she tried to figure out what to do about the curvy Amazon who seemed to be attached to her.
"Can Shampoo go with you?"
"Why would you want to do that?" the redhead asked with a sigh. "It's not like you're planning on going where I am heading."
"Want to go. There no reason not to."
"This is your homeland, you know."
"Know that. Also know that can not stay."
"You might as well take her with you, child," commented an aged voice.
"Great-Grandmama!"
"Hello, my dear. And hello to you, my interesting young friend."
"Hi. Didn't expect to see you here," the Japanese 'superheroine' replied.
"I thought it best that I speak to you on something important."
"Like what?"
Cologne smiled at her. "'Like' you taking my great-granddaughter with you."
"Excuse me?"
"Child, you have to realize that she can not stay in the Village. Those fools will come back, especially the younger one."
"He obviously not one to take no for answer," Shampoo muttered, and wrinkled her nose. "If never see him again, Shampoo be very happy."
"I would think so. But the problem is that if she stays with us, they would be trying to find her, and they'd have even more of an excuse to go after her, what with the escape that you... arranged."
That brought a wince to the blue eyes of the super powered redhead, and she plopped the bound form of her father in front of her. "They'll be after her that much?"
"Most definitely. And there will be a chance that they will get an informant from one of our neighboring villages, or simply chance upon information leading to her presence among us. And if they have reason to think that we are protecting her, they will be bringing weapons that we can not fight. Gasses, poisons, long range projectiles...."
"All that simply because you're protecting one of your own? Isn't that what you're supposed to do?"
"Boy the reckoning of you or myself, yes. However, the only loyalty that the Old Men want is to them," the elder revealed. "If someone transgresses against them, in reality or only in an excuse, that person is to be immediately tossed to their possession, to do with as they please. And they don't stop, especially when they feel that their dignity or reputations are at stake."
"Not right at all, is it?"
"Precisely, young one."
"But I don't know what going with me will do for her."
"Other than having you around to help defend her? It would take her away from here, and to safety, which your nation of origin would certainly be. After all, if she's in another country, then she can't be found here, and they won't know where to look for her next."
"And Shampoo can learn about how to do great things like fight bad guys!" chirped the younger Amazon.
"There is that."
"Well, there is only one thing that I can say in this situation," Ranma-chan sighed.
"And what would that be?"
Turning to the other teenager, the redhead held out a hand. "Welcome aboard."
"Really?" the purple haired girl asked expectantly.
"Really."
Bowing deeply barely hid Shampoo's bright smile. "Shampoo thank you very much!"
"Hope that this isn't going to blow up in my face," the 'superheroine' muttered under her breath.
Cologne smiled as she heard the words, and knew that this person would be good for her great-granddaughter, while:
