But as his eyes tracked from store to store, slowly moving closer towards openly looking for treats, he noticed one store in particular. The place wasn't all that impressive, and there were similar ones all over the city. However, there was something that the store had that caught his eye, and he actually noticed just how much of a help that could be.
Just like his old friend, and now son-in-law, Soun, there were a great many individuals who read newspapers. Some of them had subscribers all over the nation, and could reach into any city that he could think of. If he were to put an ad into one of them, then his message would be as wide spread as he could hope. Then there was a possibility that the Kuonji girl would read the notice, and immediately react to it. And even if she missed it on her own, someone who knew her would undoubtedly take note of the ad, and let her know about it. All that he'd have to do after it would be to sit back and wait for her to come to him.
"I am so brilliant!" he declared, holding his arms over his head in triumph... never noticing the odd stares that those around him pointed in his direction.
Takewaki Kuno was one of those individuals, though he wasn't so low brow as to continue to stare. Such behavior was so crude, and not worth acknowledging, which he didn't have a problem with. That sort of thing was for the masses to enjoy, as someone of his level could not be bothered with such riff raff. It was not like he had to stay in contact with a fool like that, as he was certain that no one that he knew could be related to such a clown. Besides, he had important things to consider, and such issues were more important for one like himself to deal with than the idiocy of another.
"Such fools these minor folk be," the wannabe samurai murmured to himself, passing by without stopping to pay any more attention to the fat man.
Not that Genma noticed, as he was too busy congratulating himself and puffing out his chest. He was pleased with his 'ingenuity', and didn't have the time to pay attention to much else. There were things to do, and right then, he had to get busy while:
