As Michiru took cover behind a solid-looking wooden display case, she thought 'Well, this has certainly gone wrong.'

On one side at the Tokyo Museum was a genius amateur detective and her friend/bodyguard/accompanist. Opposing them were an unknown number of masked followers of the mysterious Pharaoh 90 and his Cult of Tanis, most armed with curved Egyptian swords but a few with more modern armament. Michiru and Haruka were there to try and gather evidence about the Cult of Tanis; the Cult was there to steal the Jewel of Karnak.

To Haruka, the darkened museum seemed almost too quiet. True, she thought, it was after hours but still...
She and Michiru had hidden in a women's bathroom until the museum closed. They then evaded the guards and made their way to the Egyptian exhibits. Before they could find a hiding place from which to observe the Jewel, they were bracketed by intense light. Several masked men holding curved swords at the ready as well as a couple with large flashlights stepped from the deeper shadows surrounding the case holding the Jewel of Karnak. One person held what looked like a pistol and said "So, the Priestess was right about infidels being here to try and oppose the power and majesty of the All-Mighty Pharaoh. Your pitiful interference ends here."
Haruka muttered an unintelligible word as she kicked the shin of a cultist to her right. The cultist dropped his sword and Haruka grabbed Michiru, throwing both of them away from the trap. The two of them sought better cover as the gun-wielding cultist fired two shots at them, nearly hitting them. As they got behind cover an unknown woman's voice said "Forget them for now! The Pharaoh demands the Jewel of Karnak!"
Haruka decided to get a look at what was going on and... * * *
