"She's gone," said Hotaru-neko. "She's returned to the Gates Of Time."
"SENSEI!" said Saturn, seeing the toppled over wheelchair, the sprawled form.
"AHHHH! Whatta we do? Whatta we do?" asked Sailor Moon, running around in circles immediately. Civilian casualties were NOT a familiar event.
"hotaru?" came a weak voice.
"Sensei?" Saturn asked, diving down to kneel next to him.
"I wanted you to be happy," whispered Ranma, blood trickling from his mouth. His eyes seemed to focus on her face briefly and then look beyond it. "your kingdom has no place for a bitter half-man like me. Sorry that I-"
"Sensei?" asked Saturn, seeing the life end. "NO! I can heal you!"
Saturn brought up energy and channelled it, sending her healing energies into the still form until Mercury broke the contact.
Tears in her own eyes, Sailor Mercury told the facts. "Hotaru. He's gone. Most of his abdomen was destroyed. You can't heal him."
"No. No, he's not. He can't be," said Saturn, shaking her head. Her body trembled. "Maybe. Maybe if Sailor Moon and I combine our powers."
"Great idea," said Sailor Moon enthusiastically, sniffling herself.
"Except that while you're doing that, Sailor Pluto will be at the Gates Of Time making sure that none of this ever happened," pointed out Hotaru-neko, "I managed to scan her before she left."
"Eh?" asked Sailor Moon.
"We have to stop her first then," realized Sailor Mercury.
