It was such a nice day for him, he didn't even get really upset when he bumped into someone near a construction site, as there wasn't much room on the sidewalk. He looked down at the teenager with the oddly large spatula and raised his brows. "Didn't mean to do that. But I'm sure that we can handle it."
"If you would move yourself, I could go," the teenager muttered.
"Calm down. You really should show a little respect to your elders...."
"Trust me. I...."
For the first time, Genma got a good look at the figure in the boys' school uniform, and frowned as he realized that the person was rather familiar. "Who?"
"Huh? Who... YOU?!" the brunette yelled as she recognized who she'd bumped into, and pulled her spatula off of her back. "Suffer for the child you left behind!"
"What?!"
"You'll finally get yours!" Ukyo Kuonji declared, her eyes hard as she charged toward him.
"You... you... don't understand...."
"I understand enough!"
"WAAAA!" Genma cried out as he held up his hand in a weak attempt to ward off the coming attack. He dodged the first strike, and tried to slide backwards to avoid what was coming his way.
But his scampering was stopped as a strong arm came around his neck and locked into place, braced against the person's other arm. "Looks like you've been getting into trouble, ain't ya?"
"What? Who.... YOU?! But how did you catch up?!"
"Did you think that we wouldn't?" Kanna asked as she tightened her hold on him.
"You mean, you managed to...."
"We all did," commented Kohran as she strolled up to him. "It was the only possible result, no?"
"GAH!" Genma blurted, throwing everything that he had into pushing the girl on his back off. By using his girth as a weapon, he managed to unbalance her enough to start running. He wouldn't say that he was afraid of the current situation, but would admit to himself that he had to get to his son as soon as possible. If he could get to the boy before they did, then he could still follow through with his plans. So, he bolted, and started to try to gain as much speed as he could before they could react and follow him.
Sakura put an end to that as she darted in front of him, used that glowing blade of hers to cut the tie of his pants, and dashed out of his way.
As a result of that, his pants dropped to his ankles, tripping him so that he crashed to the ground in a rather undignified heap.
"Would someone tell me what's going on?" a really confused looking Ukyo asked with a bit of a plaintive edge to her voice.
A short haired blonde walked up to them, helping support a fox girl. "It would seem that you are another of the group of girls abandoned by Genma Saotome."
"'Group'?"
"He tried to leave all of us behind as well," the fox girl commented.
"I see. Sounds like him."
Raising his head to protest that observation, Genma saw a familiar pair of legs in front of him. Looking up, he saw the last person that he wanted to see in this situation frowning down at him, with the little blonde girl he was carrying on his back peeking down at him.
"Pop, ya've got some explaining ta do," Ranma informed him flatly, while:
