FutureKen: Researching The End [Episode 158012]

by Kender

If there was one thing that Ranma had learned from his father, it was to keep himself safe at all times. As a martial artist, he knew that it was best to see possible dangers and be prepared to figure out possible ways to deal with them. He might not have to fight them, but he did need to know what he could do in case he did have to face something.

Besides, he was curious as to what had happened to the people around there. The machines were real friendly, and they seemed to really like people. But they also were all technical, which made them use big words that he didn't understand. So, other than the fact that every other human had apparently disappeared, he didn't have any idea of where they had gone. It could be possibly be very bad, and even though he wasn't sure if he wanted to know, he was pretty sure that he had to.

With that in mind, he ate breakfast the next morning, and when he finished, he leapt up to his feet, ready to start his search.

"Where are you going?" asked the robot girl who'd hugged him when he'd gotten there asked as she looked at him with a worried expression.

"Just 'round the city," Ranma told her, bouncing on his toes. "Wanna check it out."

But he shrugged it off, as it seemed that they were only really lonely. Letting them trail around after him didn't seem to be too bad, and so he allowed it.

Not that he really minded it, both because the only time that they pushed towards him was when they wanted to offer some sort of help, and due to the fact that he soon found something that seemed to be a possible place to find clues as to what had happened. Going into a museum had always been something that didn't seem to be much fun, and this place was definitely like a museum. But he headed in anyway, and started running around the structure, looking into every place that he could.

However, it wasn't until he reached the end of one of the last remaining areas that he found what he had been searching for. Everything else had looked rather well done, but had been obviously made about things that had happened in the past. What he had found was more of something that had been created during the time when the event it was showing was going on.

And as far as he could tell, it was showing what had happened to all the people of that time, which was that they had:
