"Most likely. This was the last news publication before the humans left, it's a holographic text display." The robot gal nodded and began translating.
MASS PROTESTS OVER STOPPAGE OF VIDEL EXPERIMENT
Pressing on with massive public support, Professor Koju Videl of Nairobi Technical Research assures the public that the experiment is completely contained and will pose no threat to anyone outside the testing chamber. This despite allegations from some among the scientific community that an alteration in Kalabi-Yau field states could cause a cascade effect with untold consequences. Professor Videl and his team stand behind earlier statements that the process is completely safe, entirely contained, and will allow everyone telepathic abilities now only in the hands of a few. "It is the dawning of a new age for mankind, and it is typical of a few critics and naysayers to try and hold everyone else back in the Stone Age. Scientific progress is always opposed by the weak-minded."
Professor Dagwood of Erkind University disagrees. "Just because it is possible to do something doesn't mean that we should. Tinkering with the fundamental building blocks of the universe is not something we should do."Professor Videl assures the public that there is no danger, and that the equipment will automatically cut off in fifteen minutes in any case. "Where's the harm?"

"Yes, it's -" and the robot gal gave a long series of tones and clicks.
"Uh huh," said Ranma, looking the robo-gal over. There was absolutely no way he was going to be able to say that. "How about if I call you..."
