Setsuna's Fault/Bastet's Pride: Not So Hidden [Episode 158040]

Ranma stood there for a few moments, apparently considering the rifle, almost as if he were trying to figure out the details of it as he could. However, it also seemed to be a show, as he didn't really pay much attention to any sort of details that he might have noticed. It was almost as if he were using it to keep himself occupied, and was based more in a vague interest than anything else.

And then he dropped all pretense and looked towards the source of his real interest. "You can come out of the closet, Hotaru."

The sound of a hurried movement away from the door was rather clearly heard.

"You're not going to fool me. I knew that you were there for a while."

"You did?" whispered the familiar individual that obviously didn't want to be heard... and realized that he could hear her very well by her sudden squeak of surprise.

"Don't worry. I'm not going to be mad."

It took a moment, but Hotaru managed to sheepishly stick her head out into the room. "Are you sure?"

"Of course I am. Why would I be that mad at you?"

"I eavesdropped on you...."

"To do that, you would have had to have been here without me knowing."

"Oh... right," she murmured in embarrassment as she crept out of the closet. "But I didn't know what to do. I wanted to know what was going on, but I didn't want to bother you."

"You would not be a bother."

"Really?"

"Really."

"It's just that.... Are you really going to turn boys like... you know...."

"'Catboys'? I suppose that I have to."

"It just seems to be so...."

"'Strange'? Yeah, but I did give my word, and it won't hurt them at all. It's just that...."

"What?"

The new catboy shrugged. "I'm not sure who'd deserve to be shot with this thing. Going around zapping guys into new forms just doesn't seem right."

"I'm sure that you'll find a way, sempai!"

"Thanks for the support."

"You've always had it."

"And don't think that I don't appreciate it," he told her, and smiled down at her.

Hotaru wasn't quite certain why his smile was making her insides tingle, but she was sure that she liked it, while:
