Then she did something odd. Not using the Gates at all, she sat back and began reading. She'd gone to a bookstore, found a promising title in the magazine rack, and purchased it so that she would have the answers she sought.
It was a copy of "Time" magazine, and it had Soichiro Tomoe as "Man Of The Year" on the cover. It also had a fairly extensive write-up of both Sailor V and White Dragon apparently.
How could the Professor have done any of this in a mere two years?
First had been the development of the "aggie" or anti-grav devices. They didn't actually negate gravity or repel gravity, as the name might suggest, rather they created a field within matter that lowered the effects of gravity within that object. So that a jumbo jet could function as if it were on a planet with 1/6 gravity, for example. That had come a mere month after she'd left the newly expanded Tomoe family.
Atomic Batteries had been next. Artificial muscles.
One page had her activating the Time Gates and checking space near Earth. They were years away from being complete, but solar panels were being built by a consortium of nations - and solar power satellites were obviously taking shape.
Professor Soichiro Tomoe was a VERY wealthy man with dozens of patents to his name. He had a stately Tomoe manor, complete with labs and equipment where he would retire to come up with the newest technological miracle with which to astound the public.
Clearly she'd underestimated the Professor.
The article on White Dragon was briefer, showing pictures of Japan's superhero in his white body armor taking on what was obviously some sort of yoma. There was another picture showing White Dragon and Sailor V, with Sailor V sitting astride her V-Cycle.
This was... bad. From a purist point of view.
White Dragon had apparently shown up three months after she'd left the Tomoe family, making his first appearance when some cult had kidnapped Hotaru Tomoe in order to get their hands on the Tomoe family fortune.
White Dragon had crossed paths with Sailor V a year later. That meant that Sailor V and White Dragon had been working together for most of a year. Then Sailor V had gone abroad, showing up eventually in England.
The magazine article went on to mention speculation that not only had Sailor V and White Dragon been an item, but that they'd either had a painful breakup or were being separated by duty while pining for the distant other.
Sailor Pluto went to the White Dragon plushie and began strangling it.

Sailor Pluto dropped the plushie down.
"-Honor!" finished the plushie.

Sailor Pluto turned, stepped over, then began jumping up and down on the damned plushie.

Breathing hard, eyes wild, Sailor Pluto kicked the flattened plushie.
"-only you arrre responsible for your own actionssssssss," sounded muffled from the plushie.

Breathing hard, eyes wild, hair in disarray, little bits of fluff raining down around her, Sailor Pluto:
