"The wind sprites are soo genki today. I wonder if a storm is coming?"
"Not for the next week or so, no. ...Unless the singers of the sea are telling you something different?"
"Oh, not really. Though they seem to be in a terribly good mood, tonight..."
The short-haired girl sighed, then. Nature sprites being in a good mood did not always mean things were going to go well for humans, sadly enough...
"...I do hope you're not trying to coax the wind sprites turn you into a human glider yet again, Haruka. ...Really."
"But Michiruuu..."
"I mean it."
Haruka hung her head, mock-meekly.
"...I wouldn't mind it so much if you actually were flying a real glider, silly."
"...Oh. Right."
She slept quietly, twitching only when the bandaged white cat did.
"...Mina...Venus..."
The metal sprites coiled and coiled again, creating a multicolored swirling barrier, protecting them from the world.
Passionate love sleeps, as their sprites do. Protective love dances and dances and dances.
Setsuna Meiou sat at the Time Gate, and fidgeted.
She was being...drawn thin, seemed to be the only word to come to mind.
She would have to leave this place, she knew that, somehow. But when she did...
She thought about it. And thought about it some more.
And then, downloaded as much information as possible in as many of the Time Gate's functions as she could think of. Including her own memories, even though she knew that they'd just be a pale frozen shadow of the original.
And then, she took a deep breath.
And walked out of the Gate.
