Lamp Of Mihoshi: Terratoo [Episode 16060]

by Kestral

Poof!

Ranma blinked for a couple of moments before he realized that he was beginning to fall.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

"Oh dear," said Mihoshi. "What should I do?!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" exclaimed Ranma as he began to feel like he was in a thunderstorm as his passage through the air began disturbing the plasma and forming a cloud.

"If he goes splat or gets fried, I just know those djinni are going to say something mean too. What do I do? What do I do?"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" said Ranma as he realized this was way way way beyond his limit. Falling - it might require a body cast but he could survive it, that he was forming a lightning bolt as he was going - not so good.

"Oh! I know!" Mihoshi exclaimed. "If he was from Jurai... no. I've got it! Now how do I do it?"

"AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa-" Ranma stopped as he saw the castle looming closer, he could even see some gal looking up at him. He'd just angle this way and maybe he could catch that.

Snap! Ranma looked at the section of roof that had come off in his arms and up at where the cloud was forming this crackling white light above him.

"Oh yeah!" Mihoshi folded her arms in front of her and blink-nodded. "I wish he was-."

THWOOOM!

"Oh dear," said Mihoshi. "-able to cope with all that?"

"...able to survive that impact."

Ranma wondered how badly this had gone. He could remember getting into body casts a couple of times. That part was familiar. He felt really tired though like he'd been asleep for a long time.

"...regaining consciousness again..."

"...survive with that much damage?"

Ranma groaned. That didn't sound good.

"...enetic scan reveals he's not clone..."

"...hat but it sounds like he's in pain."

Ranma reflected that these guys had a brilliant grasp of the obvious.

"...regeneration factor of some kind..."

"...upping the sedation level to cope..."

Ranma felt the darkness roll over him.

"Hello. I'm Doctor Lorelei. Can I get your name?"

Ranma blinked as his eyes slowly focussed on that blur. "Ranma Saotome."

"Good. Mister Saotome, we couldn't find your space capsule. Did it burn up in re-entry?"

"Hah? Stupid idiot Mihoshi. No capsule."

Doctor Lorelei wrote down the confirmation that the spacecraft had re-entered at too steep an angle and burned up, and apparently the pilot had been named 'Mihoshi'. "So, Mister Saotome, we were surprised considering the amount of damage done that you survived. Your ability to regenerate is astounding. We had to keep shifting sedatives around because your body kept developing immunities."

"Ungh. How long?"

"Four months, like I said, very impressive. We'd have expected years of recovery just from the broken bones."

"Nnngh. Four?" Ranma opened his eyes again, not sure when he'd closed them. "Four months?!"

"Yes, you were severely burned, the impact was quite, Mister Saotome?! You shouldn't be getting up!"

"I gotta get back... the school," said Ranma. "Oh man, Akane's gonna kill me."

"Nobody else survived, Mister Saotome. It is only because of your remarkable ability to heal yourself that you're still alive. You landed at terminal velocity in a rock garden and then were hit with enough plasma that we had to cut away the rock that had melted and fused to your bones," said Doctor Lorelei, well aware that her bedside manner could use improvement in this instance.

Ranma staggered to the window. "Oh man, I'm outta shape and... where the heck am I?!"

"Castle Japonesse in the nation of Japonesse on the world of Terratoo," said Lorelei.

"The whose of what of where?" replied Ranma.

Doctor Lorelei scooted in between Ranma and the window. "Mister Saotome, you're not ready to leave yet. We still have questions and you're still healing."
