Ranma paced rapidly from one room to the next, checking on each of the Tendo girls as he passed. The grimace on his face told outright what he was feeling: frustration and anger.
He was used to being able to confront the threat and beat it off from the people he l...hung around. Not this time, however, this was something that couldn't be fought with fists. He had to let these doctors do stuff, and ain't none of them seemed to be like Doc Tofu.
His Pop and Mr Tendo weren't much better off. All Genma could do was berate Ranma for not doing anything to find a cure and ensure the security of the Anything Goes school, as if that were the important thing. Soun, on the other hand, rather than erupt into waterworks as he usually did, had almost completely shut down. That was worse than the crying would have been.
Genma had gone home with Soun already, leaving Ranma alone to watch the girls' changes. The doctors had Kasumi lying on her side at the moment, to accomodate the wings growing out of her deepening skin. Nabiki appeared to be wearing a spiky sort of crown just under her skin, with a line of hard spikes growing out of the skin. Akane had a tail, not very long yet, but still she had a tail.
All three had red eyes. Ranma had noticed that when the doctors checked their retinal response to a light source.
He grumbled a bit and turned back down to the emrgency exit to find a soda machine or something, still trying to understand what was going on.
His ruminations were cut short by a flurry of motion as a new patient was rolled into the ER with a fresh sense of urgency for the already busy facility.
Ranma nearly dropped his change as his eyes locked onto the strapped down form of Kodachi Kuno, clad only in a sheet, on the bed. Seconds later, her elder sister followed, similarly attired and tied to the stretcher bringing her in.
"Werewolves?" a nurse behind him snapped. "Be serious for a change, Hanada."
"What the hell is going on?" Ranma asked nobody in particular.
