Motoki was cowering behind the counter. Seeing that Usagi was getting even angrier and starting to emit a powerful battle aura, he did the smart thing and made himself scarce.
“THAT LYING, CHEATING BASTARD!!!!!” The odangoed girl raged. “Just wait till I get my hands on him. He’ll rue the day he ever met me. I’ll maim him! I’ll kill him!! I’ll murder him!!! And if he’s still alive after that, I---WILL---NEUTER--- HIM!!!!!!”
Motoki’s eyes widened after hearing that particular statement and, remembering that it was HIM that had really introduced them to each other, he decided that fleeing was the better part of valour and got the hell out of Dodge before his best customer got the idea to punish him too. After all, it was better to lose some money and to live to see another day than to lose one’s most precious piece of anatomy.
Usagi then took out her communicator and contacted the other inner senshi. She thought about calling the outers too, especially Michiru, who deserved to know this latest piece of information, but then decided that the Senshi of Neptune could have what was left of the cheating pair AFTER she had finished punishing them… well, if there were any pieces left. She waited patiently for all of the inners to answer, tears still flowing out of her eyes, but they were tears of rage this time.
“Girls,” she solemnly said, “we have a situation.”
“A youma!” shouted one voice.
“A daemon?” asked another one.
“Yay! Cute boys.” Minako said, sounding hopeful.
After a massive face fault, Usagi managed to compose herself some. “No, girls,” she started, “it’s much worse.” She paused for several moments before the wailing started again. “MAMORU’S BEEN CHEATING ON MEEEEE! WITH HARUKA! IN A MOTEL!”
The others didn’t even blink an eye when their friend accused her boyfriend of cheating as they could easily imagine the Casanova doing something like that, but hearing who he did it with surprised them. They had always pegged Haruka as a hardcore lesbian. But this shows how little you know about the people that are supposed to be your comrades in arms.
Ami, the more level-headed one, decided to take control of the proceedings. “What proof do you have? Did you catch him in the act?”
“No,” the teary-eyed teenager answered sadly. “The bitch called Motoki to order some takeout and even gave her name. Then she asked the man who was with her what he wanted to eat, and she called him Mamoru and Chiba-san. After Haichiro had come back from making the delivery, he confirmed that the people in the motel were a black-haired, blue-eyed man and a blonde girl.”
The other senshi didn’t know what to say. The description was very vague, but the names, as well as the appearances, fit.
“So what do you want to do now?” Ami asked. They had already decided that, whatever Usagi’s decision would be, they would back her unconditionally.
“I want you to help me punish them. Meet me at the motel,” Usagi answered in a calm, frosty tone, as the corona of power surrounding her continued to increase in size. She didn’t even think about checking for potential witnesses before shouting her transformation phrase. “MOON COSMIC POWER!”
