"It's good to be here, old friend," Genma agreed, and gave off a pleased laugh. "After all this time, it'll be good to finally stop all of our travels, and the first place that's always been on my mind to go to after this training journey has been to your fine home."
"Well, I'm happy to be able to welcome you to come to my home. To think that we've been waiting for all this time...."
"Now, now.... We both know that the more waiting that can be done, the better it is when one gets the final pay off."
Ranma snorted and turned his head away from the two men. "This comin' from the first guy to attack the buffet table."
"What was that, boy?"
"Nothin' that ya'd wanna listen to."
"Ehhh.... I've got more important things to be concerned about," his father muttered.
"Like our promise, Saotome," Soun reminded him.
"That's right! It's time to fulfill the pledge that we made all those years ago."
"Exactly! And I'm sure that this will be a memorable occassion that we will always be looking back on."
"I'm sure about that too. Though, I still haven't seen your daughters."
"That's odd," the Tendo patriarch said half to himself as he started to look around himself. "Why aren't they right here with us?"
"The reason for that was that you ran out before we could catch up to you," Nabiki dryly informed him as she and her sisters walked out to join the men.
"I did?"
"You practically ran.... Well, you really did run. Dashed out, even."
Akane nodded even as she gave her father an admonishing stare. "Like you were on fire. Real fire, not 'doing really well'."
"Oh, I didn't realize. But you are here, and it wasn't like you weren't going to be around. And now I can introduce our guests," their father told them, gesturing to the pair. "This is my old training partner, and friend, Genma Saotome, and his son."
"Nice to meet you girls," Genma told them.
"Welcome," Kasumi answered.
"And hello Ranma," Akane greeted her friend.
"'Hello Ranma'?" Soun frowned in confusion at the comment as he parroted it. "How did you know who he was?"
"That's really simple to explain, Dad," his middle daughter answered.:
