Deep within a ruined mansion in the woods outside a serene port city, a troubled man with dark thoughts of vengenance running through his mind cursed as a tell tale kweh'ing chirp was heard from the bronze gauntlet he had on his right arm. Clad in scarlet robes caked with filth and mud, several frayed leather straps held it tight against his well muscled frame. Blue eyes narrowed behind the red cloth he had wrapped about his face to hide his identity from his enemies.
"The alarm always has to ring when I wish to rest." The man grumbled in a cultured voice as he moved around the desk that lay collapsed and ignored in the center of the room and towards the exit. The door let out a lonely creak as it swung open before his hand.
Moving swiftly, he quickly ascended the steps to the second floor, hearing the familiar sound of gears churning beneath his feet as he headed towards the room on the east side. Halfway to his destination, he heard the sound of the other door on the second floor open softly.
"DiZ..." A soft, feminine voice began.
"Namińe, get back in your room now." The man curtly threw behind him as he paused at the door that lead to his computer room. From the side of his eyes, a waif of a blonde haired girl swiftly retreated into her room with a soft click.
"Hmph... I'll have to put that new recruit to watch over that memory witch."

The lab beneath the mansion gleamed, a audibly pleasing orchestra of chirps, bells, and whistles alerting the designer of the facility that something interesting was afoot. Sweeping into the room with the main terminal, the crimson clad man merely grunted at another equally powerfully built man in a dark robe in greeting.
"What happened?" The crimson clad man questioned the other man as he flowed into a seat before the main terminal, fingers flying across the keys as he questioned.
"Section 58 just got a new star, DiZ." The black robed man smoothly responded, an air of amusement about him as he saw the crimson clad man jerk in his seat in surprise.
"There's nothing there that could've caused that!" DiZ hissed, eyes widening slightly. "Unless one of the worlds was destroyed...?" He stroked his chin in thought as his computer confirmed the black robed man's words.
"I'll go investigate it for you if you wish." Before DiZ could reply, a swirling and hissing gateway of darkness formed behind the man and he was gone.
"Things are moving entirely too fast for my liking." DiZ muttered, the image of a newly born star pulsing in the formerly empty section of space crystal clear on the monitor of his computer.
Tucked away the lower right corner of the screen, a minimized window could be seen, the words Project Phoenix could be seen.
