Hotaru sighed. She just felt as if she didn't fit into this scenario at all. She just wished that...
BEEP BEEP! vrooom!
"HOTARU-CHAN!"
Hotaru looked up and blinked as some car came barrelling out of nowhere to pull up next to her. "Minako?"
The blonde came out of the car and swept her up in a hug. Hotaru wasn't quite sure how to respond at first, then just went ahead and returned it.
Hotaru got the distinct feeling the car was looking at her when the hug ended and the two stepped apart.
"Nice outfit, sorta toga-party meets gladiator," said Minako, looking over Hotaru.
"You're wearing the same thing," pointed out Hotaru.
"Whoa," said Minako, noticing it now that it had been pointed out. "Shows off my legs. These sandals look like a pain to lace up though."
"Have you seen the others?" asked Hotaru eagerly.
"No, you're the first one I've come across," said Minako. "But I'm sure Herbie here can get us there."
beep! beep!
"Well, let's go," said Minako. "I got to warn you though, going from one world to another is a wild ride!"
"Oh," said Hotaru, pointing to a stand set up outside the ticket counter. "Oh! Can we stop there first? I need to pick up two boxes of Thin Mints and three boxes of Scandanavians. Whatever they are."
Elsewhere, things were happening.
Michiru was trying to decide whether she wanted to go into denial of everything that was going on, or would it be better to just shrug and join in. She played other instruments besides a violin after all, that was simply her chosen specialty.
Ami and SAMI (the Mercury Computer) were in the process of staging a jailbreak, leading a bunch of captive programs out into the datastream.
Makoto was getting slammed into a rock wall by a rampaging robot, while Mister Incredible was busy trying to destroy it. Not that Makoto's poor performance was a surprise to Mister Incredible, as all superheroes went through that same phase. Probably had to get practice with her powers in secret just so she could get enough control over them to try for a normal life.
Haruka had just discovered that she had seams. And little metal pins for joints. She was NOT happy.
Robin Hood was introducing Princess Rabbit (Usagi) to his band of Merry Men (and women, as the few female members of his band were quick to point out) and Usagi was getting even more confused by the moment.
Setsuna was getting therapy from Winnie the Pooh.
