Shaking her head, Setsuna rewound the film till she was at the picture of Ranma Saotome flashing his "V" sign at the camera with the martial arts-posing Senshi to either side of him.
Pluto grimaced as if she had acid reflux. To his right was Haruka, wearing a sort-of ninja suit with a ragged long scarf. Next and similarly dressed was Michiru, except that the red scarf was replaced with a blue-green one and her hair was longer. Following Michiru was a Setsuna unit, wearing a leotard with a sash that made her look like she was auditioning for the old series "Catseye" or something. At the far end of that picture was Hotaru, looking as if she were only slightly younger than everyone else and wearing a white gi.
To Ranma's left was Ami, wearing a vaguely Chinese looking outfit all in blue. Rei was next in line, her long legs displayed in the Chinese slit-side dress whose name escaped her entirely at the moment. Makoto filled up the next spot, wearing the sort of Chinese shirt + lantern pants ensemble she would have expected from Ranma. Minako was after Makoto - her outfit looking like a high school girl's gym uniform. Next was Usagi, wearing a white gi similar to Hotaru's.
"He's got a set, you know. It was back when the Japanese market was just starting and the Senshi series was new," explained Setsuna. "I arranged for him to win a contest that awarded him a set of the Senshi. It worked out as good advertising - just as I'd explained to the board. Because he wandered around with his father, they were seen and people wanted to have one or the other of their own as soon as they saw how useful the units could be. Of course, because they WERE wandering - I knew they'd be encountering some supernatural nastiness and arranged for these to be the primary elite units. It worked out better than I'd hoped - after some initial difficulties they've gotten an unparalleled winning streak going."
"I knew it," grumbled Pluto. "Their fates are tangled - look for Ranma and find the Senshi."
"I expect to hear about his seduction any day now," said Setsuna, watching for reaction. "Several of the Senshi units have been indicating that they are quite ready to -"
"WHAT?!" interrupted a shocked and even somewhat horrified Pluto.
Setsuna shook her head. "They might be artificially created, but they ARE very close to human and they ARE normal women in that regard. They DO get urges you know."
"Gakk!" said Pluto, wondering if she should just put a paper bag over her head.
"No," said Setsuna, wondering if Sailor Pluto were envious. "The units are simply anatomically correct and capable of many things just as if they were real girls. Especially these units. I wouldn't be too surprised if one couldn't become a mother."
"Erk!" erked Pluto.
"The Ami unit has accessed computers recently on that very subject, so she's at least considering the possibility," put in Setsuna.
