Slayers Power: At Snake Mountain [Episode 163553]

by Disruptor

At Snake Mountain, Skeletor was reviewing the report from Tri-Klops' Doomseeker. The evil wizard hummed as he crossed his fingers in front of his vacant eyes.

"That useless cowardly Prince Adam was the best choice because he is a useless coward?" Skeletor muttered to himself. "What kind of mission would require that?"

Beast-Man piped up, "Maybe because the place is so dangerous, it would be better to run away instead of confronting."

Skeletor hummed to himself. "Perhaps. That still leaves why getting those books to that girl is so important."

Tri-Klops held up a book and brought it towards Skeletor. "My Doomseekers managed to get a scan of the book and I managed to get a copy of the book elsewhere."

Skeletor grabbed the book and quickly paged through it. He grew frustrated at what he read and tossed the book aside.

"Children stories? Myths? This makes no sense!"

Evil-Lynn used her magic to bring the book to her and flipped through the book as well.

"Amusing. It's probably not important," Lynn stated with disdain.

Skeletor's eye sockets glowed red for a second before he started speaking. "Not important? No, Evil-Lynn. The mission to deliver a copy of that book was created by the same person who sent He-Man to confront me. It is important, but I don't know how."

Skeletor stood up and grabbed his staff. He started walking down the steps that led to his throne and as he passed Evil-Lynn, he grabbed the book and glared at it.

"I will be in my quarters trying to figure the secrets of this book out."

After Skeletor left, his minions stared at each other.

"Skeletor is in one of his moods again," Trap-Jaw stated.

"Indeed. Tri-Klops? Are there any other copies of that book?" Evil-Lynn asked with a calculating look on her face.

"They're fairly common. You could buy one in any market. I thought he was going to destroy the book when he read it and so I got five of them," Tri-Klops stated and pointed to a small stack of four books hidden behind a rock.

Evil-Lynn grabbed a book and headed to her quarters to try and discover the secrets in the book.

Tri-Klops shrugged and grabbed one of the remaining books and shook his head.

"Without that second book and whatever knowledge that other world holds, this book can't divulge its secrets," Tri-Klops muttered to himself.
