Missing Persons-Ecchi: Unexpected Variations [Episode 164291]

by Kender

Ecchi's plan had been fairly simple to come up with, and easy to do. All she had to do was to sneak off with a number of pretty girls, copy them, and put the originals back before anyone noticed. After repeating that process several times, she could sell off the ones that she didn't use herself, and reap the benefits of the tons of money that would come her way.

Of course, it was a plan that went with the concept that 'sex sells', but then since her mind was always thinking in sexual terms, this wasn't too bad of an idea.

Unfortunately, she hadn't thought through all the problems. Sure, diverting anyone chasing after those she took to other worlds was a good diversion, but there were certain problems with her plan that she hadn't realized existed yet. Things were going too smoothly for her to notice them yet, but she was quite possibly going to have to face them in the future.

One of those just happened to be the girls that she had copied, and was sending back. Bathing them in a combination of eldritch and technologically advanced energies, and working with their minds wasn't exactly error proof. Neither was stretching out and dividing a person's life power to make copies of her. There were forces out there that were not going to be simply directed, and even a little variation from the planned use of them could change the results. So, there was a quite likely possibility that they wouldn't be the same as they'd once been.

And that was not the only possible problem for Ecchi's strategy.

Even though Ranma was not like Ryoga Hibiki in his ability to get lost, he was quite able to stumble his way into unexpected places. If he were to have a fight on school grounds, he might wind up crashing into the girl's locker room. Or he could march away from an argument, only to wind up in the cave of the Orochi.

That was why he could see his situation coming up as it was, though he didn't know how it happened.

"Okay, I know that I was just comin' in from the hall that I found when I followed the trail of some strange girls," he said weakly, "but I didn't expect ta find this."

The bleary eyed girls who had been sleeping in Storage Room Number Five stared back at him, finding themselves unable to argue with his words.

"At least I seem ta have saved someone...."

It had been a fairly simple conflict to understand. Starfleet had come after their runabout to recover it, and the women that had been abducted in it. Unfortunately, it had been landed on a special base where alien technology was kept on the 'Stargate' Earth. That meant that they had to use their phasers to deal with this alternate world that was apparently involved in some of the trouble. As far as they were concerned, it was entirely possible that this alternate version of Earth was trying to steal what it did not have, and this could not be allowed.

Luckily, the SGC had a 'special weapon'.

"So, you're saying that your universe got the same treatment that ours did?" that 'special weapon' asked.

"You're right about that, Doctor Jackson," William Riker replied, and leaned back in his chair. "And until you tried to call out to talk, we didn't have a clue that was the case."

"Which is understandable, given that whoever is doing this is just grabbing people."

"The question is why?"

"More than likely, they have some sort of need for these particular type of individuals," Teal'c commented.

Miles O'Brien raised his brows at the Jaffa. "What makes you think that's the case?"

"Experience."

"Pardon?"

"We've had people kidnapped before. An airman and a... friend were taken by a Jaffa team to take her to their Goa'uld master so that she could be the body for his dear old wife," Jack O'Neill muttered.

"'Goa'uld'?"

"Snake eel like things that get into your body and use it for their own. Nasty little creatures."

"Not if they're Tok'ra," Daniel reminded him.

"There is that."

"Fascinating," Doctor Julian Bashir murmured. "Sentient parasite beings that can take over neurological functions fully...."

"Don't got things that can connect into a person's head like that?"

"We've only got the Trill symbiotes, and they share, creating a joint consciousness of sorts."

"There's the Borg, Julian," Miles said flatly.

"Ah, yes. Nasty, and leave you not in control of your body."

"Right," Jack commented with a grin. "'Resistance is futile'."

"You know about them?"

"Your universe is a television show here. Several actually. And as for the line? Think of it every time that I go to Washington."

"Much as I'd like to continue this friendly conversation, someone brought a stolen ship and kidnapped people to one of our bases, and kidnapped personnel from this facility while leaving us holding the bag for the other one," General Hammond said archly. "I'm not happy with leaving it that way, and want to do something about it."

Riker nodded, and looked to the officers from Deep Space Nine. "We can understand that. We still have to get the people from both our universes back, and the Enterprise didn't answer the call from DS Nine just to leave it be."

"Exactly," the General agreed, while:
