Missing Persons-Ecchi: After Effects [Episode 164315]

by Kestral

Those who had been copied would have side effects. Their memories muddled, they'd tire easily, they would feel drained emotionally and physically. They'd recover in a few days. At least those results were those expected by Ecchi herself.

Part of it was the oversexed body that the former apprentice of the SRU Wizard had been transformed to. It messed with one's concentration in all sorts of ways.

Add to this that the SRU Wizard's monster was already messing with the devices, using its ability to shift its fluid shape around to good effect.

So while girls were being returned, there were a few side effects that were not as planned.

"So this will do the trick?" asked General Hammond.

"Yes, it's easy enough with this 'Stargate' hooked up to a pair of shuttle engines," said the Star Fleet scientist. "The program's running. The only problem is finding which of the traces leads to the correct universe and which are more false trails or simply other realities which were raided."

Ranma had come here on the trail of the girls by using someone else's plan.

Visiting the Nekohanten had revealed that it was closed and that Cologne had been fitting shards of something familiar together.

"Hey, ain't that?" asked Ranma, pointing.

"The Nanban Mirror?" asked Cologne, using a brush to paint the edges with glue and then carefully fitted the piece into the frame. "Yes, actually it is."

"So ya figured out what happened?" asked Ranma.

"They were kidnapped," said Cologne, repeating the process with another piece. "A group of magic-wielding females appeared and captured them one after the other. Then they loaded them into some circular sort of gate."

"Wow, how do ya know that, some kinda ancient Amazon technique?" asked Ranma, sarcasm in his tone.

"No, Mister Watanabe at the electronics shop next door had a camcorder going and saw what occurred with Shampoo," said Cologne. "I have a feeling he was trying to get pictures of Shampoo running around without a top again."

"Oh," said Ranma. So maybe her response had been serious after all. "So - they're in the past?"

"No," said Cologne, not looking up from her exacting work. "They're in another world entirely. Ever read 'Parallel Worlds' by Michio Kaku? Something like that."

"He some kind of sorcerer type?" asked Ranma.

"Professor of physics in New York," corrected Cologne, fitting a section into place.

"Oh," said Ranma, scratching his head. "So what makes you think it's a parallel world?"

"I threw the I-ching, I consulted psychics, and I found evidence at the scene," said Cologne, most of her concentration still on the process of repairing the mirror. "I also looked at your horoscope, son-in-law. It said that if you go anywhere today, your 'problems would multiply' and that you should 'look before you leap.'"

Ranma frowned, grabbed an onion off the table, and sliced it in midair. "Ya ain't goin' anywhere without me, ol' ghoul."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Okay," realized Ranma. "Maybe that wasn't the brightest thing I coulda done."
"Hmph," said Cologne from where she had a few girls surrounding her as well. "Well, we've rescued our girls and a few more. Maybe we should just leave now before we face the force of this citadel."
