Faerie Flu: Chasers [Episode 164322]

by Kender

As things went, Ranma had found a place where he could actually follow the sort of life he'd wanted. With him being dedicated to the Art, the chance to learn and practice all the time was wonderful. Here, he could stand in the middle of the village and not have to learn about the chemical reactions of acids and bases, and other such stuff that had little to do for one who was likely going to be a martial arts sensei, or something along those lines.

And it wasn't all that bad a place to relax. The air was crisp and clean, without any of those fumes from cars or factories. Instead of closely huddled houses of similar design, there was a beautiful mountain vista to look out on. All he could do was lean his head back and enjoy the feel of a breeze on a calm day.

Those sorts of days did carry the strangest sounds every so often though.

"Get out of the way!" cried out a feminine voice.

"What the heck...." Ranma murmured as he turned to look... and saw what was coming his way. "Oh hell."

A pair of bouncing breasts of large proportions smacked right into his face, sending him into a flying tumble that sent him crashing into the ground face first in a cloud of dust and debris. Pushing his upper body off the ground, he spit out the dirt that had gotten into his mouth... only to get shoved down to sprawl on the earth again as a foot came slamming into the small of his back. Two more pairs of feet, one belonging to a young man, and the other in high heels, trampled right behind the girl who'd knocked him down in the first place.

By the time he could move his head to look, he saw that a screaming Kirie was running off with Fukuyama and his sister's bodyguard in close pursuit.

Shoving his way back to a seated position, Ranma sighed and wondered how this could have happened. It wasn't like he'd been involved in this little escapade. After all, when he got chased, there was usually something that had started it off. But then... he wasn't being chased. Realizing that, he clapped his hands three times, and prayed for the poor girl who happened to be chased. However, no matter how sympathetic he was to her plight, he wasn't about to trade positions with her. In his book, it was better to be a bystander than the one being chased. Then that person not only had to deal with the dangers of the pursuit, but had to handle the people who were on their tail.

That was something that he wanted to avoid.

"WAAAAAAAA!"

Hearing Kirie's voice again was something that he knew was foreboding for him.

When he looked, that was confirmed, as the high school girl had looped back around with the pair lusting for her right on her trail. All three of them also happened to be heading in his direction.

"AHHHHHH!" he yelped, and got to his feet as he started running away. He looked over his shoulder to see if he'd gotten out of their way, and saw that the trio was... right behind him?! "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! Why does this crap always happen ta me?!"

"Fate," Cologne calmly murmured as she sat and held her tea with both hands, watching as the now-quartet passed by.

"Fate," Nabiki, Koyomi, and Yomi chorused as they sat in a line next to her, and they and the Elder took a sip of tea, while:
