Tatewaki Kuno seethed as he hid. The honor blade of the Kuno family was a display sword? No, it could not be... something must have happened to the real one...
It was well known that few were the families which held there own, true Blades any more. Countless Katana were used by officers during World War II... and ended up either destroyed or confiscated by Americans as spoils of war. But Tatewaki knew that surely the Kuno Blade was too holy and pure to even be touched by a filthy gaijin... no, something must have happened to it long ago... stolen from its rightful owners by some base, foul thief...
Tatewaki's mind latched onto that. Of course! It made perfect sense, now! How else could such a family as that have a blade!
All this time, they'd been taunting him! Carrying it around right under his nose, laughing at him while holding on to his families possession!
He growled, and electricity arced up and down his arms. He'd see about that. He'd have his revenge!
He'd take his family's sword back from the Saotome thieves that held it!
And Tatewaki stormed into the night, searching for the woman that held 'his' sword...
